Daniels has been a solid hand for a ridiculous amount of time. I don't think he's a great worker, I think he's solid. But he's got great matches to his name (mostly involving AJ but still), and so many years under his belt. Red was class back in the day, but I don't think that's enough to give him a vote over Daniels.

The thing that hurts Red for me was his peak was too short, and by the time it was over, he missed out on all the great workers Daniels worked with. Granted he's made comebacks but he's never matched that early 2000's greatness, and they've been inconsistent at that.

I'd rather watch veteran Red than veteran Daniels (well, 2020 veteran Daniels - the guy was considered a vet in 2002), but otherwise I agree with the consensus here

Red, at his peak, was incredible and felt like a younger version of Rey Mysterio. Unlike Mysterio, who endured countless knee surgeries and maintained quality, Red was never the same after that first knee surgery in 2003.

Daniels, whether you're a fan of his or not, I think most of us can agree that he's consistently solid. Considering how long he's been active, just being consistently solid is quite an achievement.

This is one of the stronger "peak vs. consistency" argument in this tournament. Really love Red and also really like Daniels. Even his peak was really high too. AJ or no Daniels pulled his weight. I do agree that in 2020 I'd rather watch Red and actually Red was probably more standout, but for his career I think Daniels had a better career even just in-ring.

I have to say, I never thought Red was bad or even average for the record even during his comebacks. When he returned to TNA he showed a lot of flashes of a great talent and even in his later run he's not completely fallen off. Of current indie workers he'd still be near the top of my list. Just not enough there because he's been in and out so much. I wish he would have gotten that one WWE run.
