For someone with the rep Brody had, he's rarely had a match that I've engrossed or entertained by. I can think of about two examples, the Tenryu match was good (but who doesn't have good matches with Tenryu?) and the match in the OP which has my #1 and #2 for the tournament in the match with him. Maybe it was him putting his reputation over his ring work. But still, there isn't a ton to work with.

Finlay stands out as having more good matches to look at. His 2006-08 comeback had tons of great matches against the likes of Benoit, Regal, Rey Mysterio, JBL. Fast forward to another run he has in 2011 where he has a great match against Sami Callihan, a solid run in BOLA of that year. The few German matches of his that I've seen are a riot to watch. He is a great face and insanely over. And of course, the famous "12 stitches in Regal's eye" match he had at Uncensored 1996.

I am mystified by the reputation Brody has because I have never seen the great brawler he's touted as. I don't know if it's the circumstances of his death, or his rep for standing up for himself to bookers and being a hard man so other wrestlers think he was cool, but I think he's been way overhyped as a great wrestler. I just don't get it.

I'm not sure how far Finlay can go in this tournament, but he's an easy choice here.

Yeah, Brody not being all he's cracked up to me is usually one of the first myths that gets debunked once people actually start watching his matches. This is Finlay in a cakewalk.

I'm surprised by the Brody hate. He's one of my favorite wrestlers ever.

Brody was one of the best at portraying his character but as a worker as Steve said, is usually a talking point that gets broken up quickly when looked deeper into.

Finlay is one of my favorites of all time but this is as lopsided as there could be in terms of in-ring.
