Easiest pick of the round. Rey is an all time great with 25+ years of being extremely consistent.

    Booker is ok.

Booker's in ring performance is very reliant on who he's in the ring with. He can work up to someone's level, but he sure couldn't elevate a lesser opponent.

Rey could be a dark horse in this whole thing. Maybe not a winner, but should definitely go far.

Rey would be someone I put in the top 5 for NA wrestlers ever. Booker T wouldn't come to mind.

Completely agree with this. I think Rey will get very far in this and rightly so.

Is Rey the youngest legend in the business? I think he is.

I also love how humble he is. You never hear him say hes the best or anything. And you can find matches with him everywhere.

I still think the best WWE dvd i ever bought was Rey Mysterio Biggest Little Man. Quality wise its off the hook!!!!

This is an easy one, not only is Rey a potential contender to win this, but Booker isn't a top 100 guy for me.

Potentially Rey has to face Shawn Michaels and then Ric Flair back to back, those could be some fun threads!

Re: WCBNAINWOATT Round 1: Rey Mysterio vs Booker T

Personally speaking, I like Booker T more than Rey Mysterio, but Mysterio gets my vote here. Just so many memorable classics with Eddie, he elevated Batista, and he's perhaps the greatest luchador of all-time (would love a tourney on this next).

Booker T had a really good run in WCW, fought Triple H at Mania 19 that was overshadowed by Angle/Lesnar and HBK/Michaels. I enjoyed the Best-of-7 series with Chris Benoit that isn't talked about much (for obvious reasons). He elevated the Boogeyman in their feud. And while I was too young to appreciate his King Booker run, looking back, that was one of the better KOTR gimmicks for heat.

Honestly, I almost convinced myself into changing my vote, but I'll stick with Rey for being able to work with anyone and everyone, being a mainstay as long as he has, trailblazing for the next generations to come.

Tough draw for Booker who performed admirably in one of the worst spots in wrestling history to be in: Main eventer in 2000-2001 WCW & eventually became a legend of sorts, but he was never a top tier worker, letalone against Rey, one of the most consistently great workers ever.
