No mitrovic- that’s a real blow for Fulham to have missed him all of the play offs.

Hoping for an entertaining match. Not sure that's Fulham anymore, though.

Forgot this was happening never mind. In brighter news Newport have managed to hold on to Scot Bennett, which is awesome news. We need players in otherwise we will struggle in the new season.

What’s the keeper doing there. Deserved lead for Fulham.

Awful positioning by the keeper. Dull game and it looks like Fulham are going up. Brentford crumbling under pressure.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

Such a poor final, Huddersfield vs Reading was much worse though. Congrats to Fulham, immediate return to the PL. Scott Parker did a great job to get them back up. Great goals by Joe Bryan. Fulham deserved the win. They will be faves to go back down again. Hopefully this time they have a sensible window and have a good league campaign. Expecting Parker to get it right next season.

Brentford absolutely bottled it and never recovered from that defeat against Stoke. Brentford were totally outclassed by Fulham in the final. Brentford have the worst play off record. They will probably lose their front 3. Maybe they can bounce back from this heartbreak and do what Villa and Leeds did. Two seasons ago Villa lost the play off final and the following season they went back up. Last season Leeds bottled auto promotion and lost in the play offs. This season they looked ready and won the league to go back up.

Enjoyed the Final, happy Fulham won as well. Hope to never see Brentford in the final.

Did get a chuckle out of the GK pulling a Thomas Frank and Dalsgaard getting mad though. Good stuff.

This always happens to the third place team that just misses out on promotion. They seem to be emotionally drained and fail at the playoffs.

That was noticeable in their first leg against Swansea, but when they blew them away in the second leg I thought they might have shook it out their system. But no, poor again tonight, BMW never really got going.

thing is, Fulham finished on the same amount of points as them and were in the autos race as well.

Kinda disappointing match. Was fine with Fulham winning - they did more and earned it.

Interested to see how Fulham do in the Prem. I haven't watched tons of EFL this year, but I've heard a bit about how Parker has them playing. Described as playing like a scrappy side that grinds out tight wins, but they don't really have that kind of squad. Still a lot of attacking, flair players. A scrappy mentality could be what they need in the Prem, but they also need that kind of player.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

Feel a bit for Brentford. Watched both of our games against them and it was clear what a good side they were, especially the away game where they totally outclassed us and had the game won by half time. At least it’s another new ground to go to. I’m glad I got to go to Griffin Park. One of my favourite away days back in ‘03.

It’ll be interesting to see how they fare next season. Keeping hold of BMW will be key if they’re to have another good crack at promotion.

Loved the scouting of the Keeper’s positioning for the first goal. It’s that sort of detail that makes me think about getting into coaching.

We’re at the top of the Championship where we belong... just kidding! Good result against Forest who are likely to be playoff contenders. Hopefully we can build on last season and aim for a top half finish.

Having skimmed through the highlights Reading could be a team to keep an eye on. Good away win against Derby. They’ve got some very talented players and should really be doing a lot better than they did last year.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

Brentfords team on paper is far too good to be losing to Birmingham on the opening day of the season.

I mean to be fair, they didn't really click until late on in the season last season. Obviously they don't have Ollie Watkins now but Ivan Toney is a good signing who should bag some goals.

Watching Derby Vs Sheff Wednesday in the final match to decide who gets relegated. This league always delivers in final day drama.

thought I’d get a post in here before albions relegation is confirmed
