Jeff and Punk tagged a bit in the beginning but towards the end, Punk wouldn't tag Jeff in because he was tending to his eye.
So Jeff just slapped him on the shoulder to get him in anger and in the end, Jeff had his arm out for Punk to tag him and when Punk was just ABOUT to reach him, Jeff oversold his eye 'injury'... twas lolerific. That lead to Edge spearing him for the finish... and Jeff/Punk staring each other down.
Lovin' the way they did that and next week should be schweet too.

Downloaded it and watched it. Despite being a very vocal supporter of Smackdown's direction lately I felt that this weeks show was pretty lame.
The opening segment on Punk's side of things was great. His mic skills make him sound like a composed and believable champion. Theo Long came out, did his job on the microphone. Logically it'd be nice to see them make Punk/Hardy 2 a No DQ match because of the controversial DQ finish of the last one. Assuming Punk deliberately kicked the referee what is stopping him from doing it again?
Hardy comes out, you get what you typically expect from a Hardy promo. The funny thing is that no matter what Hardy does he is massively over. It is like one sick twisted joke....maybe I'm over reacting.
Punk's one liner "Just Say No" was beautifully executed. I like to see them slowly edging this feud into a personal realm revolving around the difference of lifestyles between these two. Hardy displays his acting chops here in an Emmy worthy performance that you can only get from WWE Smackdown.
Sadly, I skipped most of the show. I don't find Crime Time at all entertaining so their what's up segment was meh. At least the RVD look alike got a chance to prolong his career away from the future endeavor path.
It was nice to see Kane back again. Hopefully he isn't starting a program with Mysterio as that sounds oddly familiar.....is he dead or is he....alright whatever. Kane should be a very timely addition to Smackdown's roster, especially with Edge supposedly injured. Maybe WWE should steal a page from WWE 2K9 (cheap ass plug go to the BTB section) and have Kane some how get burned again bringing back the old school suit. Kane is supposedly nearing retirement and judging by Taker's return at WrestleMania XX years ago there is a pretty penny to be made off of nostalgic gimmcks.
Dolph Ziggler is going to bone Maria. It's good that they can find ways to turn Smackdown into a viral PSA. You've got an Anti Drug angle, and now a Date Rape angle. Once GTV catches Finlay sexually abusing and beating Hornswoggle than we're full swing into the transition.
I skipped past both Ziggler/R-Truth and the Crime Time match.
The Main Event was okay. Nothing more, nothing less. I hope to god we do not get a blindfold match at Night Of Champions. The set up is perfect, too perfect....
I guess the PG rating only applies to American audiences. Since when wasn't wank a swear word? Or are they just trying to get around the rating by merging a swear word with another ford?
