As much as i like seeing JBL with the gold, Punks reign didn't even get a chance to get started, i agree. Considering how hard he worked for it and how valuable they made it seem, to lose it with no buildup seemed like a hastey way to build up a quick match for Mania. I'd have liked to have seen Regal/Punk, and assumedly now JBL has the title they're going to need a top face to face him for the title at mania.
I guess Rey is probably the most viable option, i can't really think of anyone else?

Only saw up to the Orton promo, but it seemed like it was a good show. I am loving the Taker/HBK promos right now, sometimes you forget that Taker can actually work the mic pretty well. Is it me or is Undertaker looking like he'll be the heel here?
JBL winning the IC title was a good move in my opinion, JBL with the belt will be far more interesting than Punk ever was with it. Jim, I honestly have no idea what you are talking about with Punk's reign being meaningful.
Also, Trips NEEDS to Pedigree Orton's wife, or else involving her at all seems pointless.
Not really a fan of them having Vickie as a slut and that sort of makes Show look bad too >_>. Well atleast we know it's a triple threat now.
Hope Flair doesn't wrestle....
Ending segment sounds awesome, glad Priceless didn't get raped.
JBL winning the IC title was a good move in my opinion, JBL with the belt will be far more interesting than Punk ever was with it. Jim, I honestly have no idea what you are talking about with Punk's reign being meaningful.
Punk's reign at least began well. Having him earn the title shot through the tournament. Then the entire series of matches with Regal actually spotlighted the title some. Punk did more in those two months for the title than the past several IC champions. Nowhere did I say that it was meaningful...yet. With how Punk was doing with the title, it had the potential to actually mean something again.
Do you actually think JBL will do anything significant with the belt? He's lucky if his PPV match is watchable, let alone good.
Punk's reign was doomed to be a nothing reign the moment he was put in the MITB. Hell, it may have been doomed from the start as he won it on TV. Atleast this A) keeps JBL out of the main event scene and where he should be - mid-card and B) has a better chance of the title being on PPV as JBL is a bigger star than Punk is.
JBL can still have decent matches. His match with Punk at last year's Summerslam may have been Punk's best match since winning the ECW title.
That said, I am sort of hoping he's a transitional champ and will drop the belt to Rey at Wrestlemania, that'd make for a good moment. Either way I'm happy with him as champ for the moment.
The HBK/Taker Promo Was Good. Taker Messed Up a Lil bit but the promo as a whole came of very well. Can't wait to see what they can do @ Mania.
Hopefully Flair Doesn't Come Back
I'm Fine With JBL being The IC Champ as 1) It Keeps Him Out of the Main event scene & 2) This way there is a chance of an IC title Match @ Mania for the first Time Since Mania 18.
Maryse V Melina was pretty good. Not Great But good.
I like how Raw's going with the build ups of HBK/Taker and Orton/HHH for WrestleMania XXV, which both sketches were the highlights of the night. The forgettable moment of the night was the 3 on 3 Tag Match, which is random.
I agree with Doc Doom about the direction the 2 fueds between Orton/HHH and Taker/HBK heading in to WM. Of course we all know that Orton/HHH and the whole "In Your House" thing was an old re-run of Stone Cold and Brian Pillman. But it was still solid.
And Taker/HBK should just be epic, epic, epic. I can see Taker doing Top Rope Legdrops from inside the ring to HBK through the Announce Table...HBK Asai Moonsaulting Taker...some Elbow Drops...Tombstones....ohhhh man that match will be awesome.
Another thing I like is the Y2J angle. In my own head I have an idea where this is going, but it took a complete U-Turn with Flair's appearance. I still think I have a good idea of who is going to eventually emerge as Y2J's WM opponent. And it won't be Ric.
RAW was an overall success this week, and has been for the last few months now.
