Rate Backlash

Well just caught up with the action from Backlash myself and I was very pleasantly suprised. Take out Umaga, that terrible Candice segment and Eugene and you have a very solid show. Raw seems to have it all right now.

Is it really that good or is it just that we're more willing to accept mediocre shows now due to low expectations?

I keep hearing stuff like "not as bad as I thought it'd be" or "solid show" regarding some of these PPV's and that isn't making me want to rush out and buy them

One terrible match (Umage V Flair). One average (Show V Kane) but a lot of people could rate that higher than I would (I'm not into big man matches). Everything else was old PPV quality. I'm not sure I'd add it to a DVD collection but I'd definitley want to have seen it rather than read reviews.

The Raw product in general is helping make PPV's better. Backlash had 3 matches with really well built storylines and therefore emotional contact. And Shelton Vs RVD couldn't stink if it tried.

Very good B-Card PPV IMO, the main event was solid and the IC Title match apart from the slow start was fantastic, I give it 3 stars

This all comes to down to the brand extension for me. I'm not sure a single show PPV can get 5 stars..

With that being said, I thought this was a solid show after watching the download.

Shelton/RVD and HHH/Cena/Edge were both good and HBK vs. Shane/Vince was solid as well.. Even Carlito/Masters had it's moments..

Trish/Mickie would have been decent but I can't fault WWE for Trish's injury..:stuff:

Umaga was a squash and Kane/Show was very mediocre.

I thought it was pretty boring for the most part.

I like the RVD/Shelton match but think that should continue they could have done more with their match.

But I LOVED the Main event and it was definetly worth stealing it off the internet for that alone. haha.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

my expectations were low as hell. So anything decent would sway me

I gave ti a 4 star. I thought general it was solid and that there were really no bad points. The Umaga/Flair was what I expected it to be in a squash and Kane and Big Show was borderline decent taking into consideration who was in the match. Fro the rest of it I thought the matches were very good.
