You don't have to have a shitty match to draw the crowd in for the ending. They still could have had, as much as HHH vs. Koslov could, a decent match with increments of lull and then subtly slowed down more the last few minutes before Edge and Hardy came out.
No need to be crap simply because you aren't the big finish.

I think it's fairly simple to figure out and I am surprised it's so 'baffling' to all of you.
Edge is the ultimate opportunist but so is Vickie.. They were untouchable together.. but separate their lives have been a living hell..
It's obvious to me that Edge and Vickie have gotten back together because it's the only way they feel they can operate on SD! and get what they want.. vickie had lost control..
It's going to be revealed that Edge stayed away (hence the beard the emphasize how he's been removed from humanity) and came back at the opportune time.. they take Hardy out of the match and let Kozlov/HHH beat on one another.. then Edge shows up and picks up the pieces..
How are you people not following this? Have you never heard of a couple getting back together? Have you never heard of a couple getting a divorce only to remarry? The shit happens all the time in the real world.. Of course, this is going to be a bit of a stretch but at the same time.. so is all television..
I'd rather have Edge as that manical character he left as was my main point I guess.
The Ultimate Opportunist thing has been done to death in my view.
I really feel that the Edge character will end up coming close to HHH's and Flairs legacys and he will get the majority of them using this technique. Its just the shady nature of his character. I personally love the way he is willing to do anything and doesn't care if its the easy way. It still gets him the title at the end of the day.
Edge will keep the beard and probably stay a little bonkers after being sent to hell if you ask me. He will play up the deranged angle a bit.
Overall the show was better than most PPV's, but it did still lack the oomph most of us were looking for.
The return of Cena, like Jayman said, was so fucking crammed down our throat that when he won as EVERYONE watching at home and at the arena expected, it just emphasizes another generic boring Cena face title run. Ho fucking hum.
Jericho was refreshing and a change from the norm. Giving him a lengthy title run would have been nice. Having Edge and Jericho run heel programs in on their respective shows would have been making for sucess. Instead we got too many faces once again on Raw all going for the babyface title runs and Smackdown is top dog once again with Edge on top.

Survivor Series Disgace. The new November to Dismember
Who else thought SS was a disgrace. Taker v show meet kennel from hell. Taking Hardy out the main event is false advertisment, and after the shitest wwe title match ever Edges run ins supposed to make up for it. The Diva match was a clusterfuck shit of a match. They need to watch Kong wrestle, and kim cant come soon enough. Cena as champion??!!. With the slumping ratings and stock in the shit I dont know if the WWE can survive.

I personally liked HHH/Kozlov, but I'm into those slow-paced mat wrestling matches. The problem with it was the crowd, and who can blame them? They were expecting a Jeff Hardy match and they got mat wrestling instead. Who can blame them for chanting 'boring' and 'we want Jeff'?

I was pretty disappointed with the outcome of the main event. I mean, deep down, i knew that they'd just book Cena to win the title back on his return. But i really hoped that they wouldn't. I mean, absolutely no storyline buildup (did they forget that Cena was the reason Jericho was FIRED?!), and it was just such a bland finish. Oh, Cena gets his confidence back, blah blah.
It was a very good match, it really was! But i would have liked a different ending. An Orton run in or a sneaky Jericho victory. Jericho was more than a one dimensional face champion, and it's a shame they made him drop the title like that. We can only hope for a decent feud off the back of it.
I really liked the Outcome of that Main event tbh. But overall i thought the PPV wasn't anything special. Show V Taker was poor, The WWE title match was poor until Edge came out. & The eliminations matches were nothing special. Overall poor PPV.
Also IMO what i found (not on this forum but another one) was that a lot of people were saying that it was good for WWE to give Edge the title on his return match but it was the worst decision WWE could ever make giving Cena the title back on his return match and people couldn't provide a good enough reason for why it was good for Edge but bad for Cena other than "because Cena Sucks"

I see where you're coming from with that, but personally i think it's a matter of storyline. HHH has held the title for a long time without really breaking a sweat, and his reign was getting very stale. Edge coming back will do wonders for the smackdown main event scene storyline wise, i think.
Whereas Raw, you had a few really good feuds brewing, and Jericho was at the start of what i thought could have been a really good title reign. It's not like Cena being champ has really done anything for the raw title scene. I'm a Cena fan, i spent 25 quid on a t-shirt at an event he wasn't even at... But i don't think it was a great idea storyline wise to have him come straight back and win the title. But what do i know! They could have some epic twists and turns in store. We'll see.
I liked both elimination tags. I would have rather seen Morrison come out on top.. but the action was good, and Orton and Rhodes survived in the other one and I really liked how Orton played Batista on the 'blind' tag into the RKO.
I think that the 'Taker/Show match was awful, very plain and boring, I thought 'Taker would have done something bad ass to the casket like set it on fire or something (because 'Taker was saying "I'm gonna send big show to the FIERY depths of hell") /dissapointment
