Well, Royal Rumble has always been my favourite PPV. And tonight I sat down for the first time in four years not knowing the winner before the match. I pointed this out to the missus and she said to me "So who do you think wins it?" I says "Taker, Trips or Batista are the obvious, but to be honest if Taker or Dave win it, is kills SD so that leaves Trips, thats too obvious so they need a swerve" I then went on to point out an interview last week where someone said "I'll be at 'mania but probably not in a wrestling role".
Dammit I knew the winner before the start again, but the difference, I enjoyed this one because I wasn't quite sure, dammit the entire of RR2008 had an old school feel, the matches went well (despite 2 or 3 major fuck ups for PPV) the emotion built well, and more than anything I bought into a match, I wonder whether I'll bother with Raw, probably not, because Cena's gonna open the show with a promo, why not put him in a box for 5/6 weeks, we don't need him, we need that suspense. At least I do if I'm gonna get emotionally involved again....

That would be a cool concept. Have him write a letter to WWE.com stating he wants to face Randy Orton for the WWE title (since he has to officially declare which title he’s going after), then for the next few weeks they could have camera crews going around looking for Cena in the streets/arenas even at the Cena family home. No one sees him until Mania, while Randy freaks out every week and starts getting paranoid, thinking John will turn up any second. The anticipation would be good, also it’d keep Cena and Orton away from each other, since they’ve had recent history, so their interactions won’t become old quickly. But that’s far too good of an idea for the WWE writers to come up with. And also they’d probably need Cena to do a whole lot of publicity for the event.
