Survivor Series Prediction Contest

Here's our official Survivor Series predictions thread. Just state who you think will be victorious, and how they win the match (e.g pinfall, submission, DQ, etc.) There are no prizes on offer so the competition is open to everyone!

Team DX vs. Team Edge & Orton

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

At Survivor Series, WWE fans will see a reunion, an extreme first and an inter-brand showdown all in the same match when a team co-captained by D-Generation X meets a team co-captained by Edge & Randy Orton in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match.

The two teams of co-captains have been at each other’s throats for weeks, with Edge & Orton trying to end DX’s reign of terror on RAW. They were successful at Cyber Sunday thanks to special referee Eric Bischoff, but Shawn Michaels & Triple H responded by costing them the World Tag Team Championship the next night on RAW. Now, at Survivor Series, the two teams will add three partners and do battle in a Classic Survivor Series Match.

Both quintets will be made up of Superstars from all three brands. Along with HBK and The Game, Team DX will be made up of RAW’s Jeff Hardy, SmackDown’s Matt Hardy and ECW Extremist CM Punk; meanwhile, Edge & Orton’s squad will be rounded out by Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro, Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms and ECW’s Mike Knox.

Jeff and Nitro, Matt and Helms and Punk and Knox all have their own rivalries brewing as well. Jeff and Nitro have traded the Intercontinental Championship in recent months, Matt and Helms have been battling over a personal grudge and Punk and Knox have been at odds seemingly due to the schoolgirl crush Knox’s girlfriend Kelly has on Punk.

All four of these rivalries will be combined into one volatile match at Survivor Series; but while hostility is high, this match will also see the ultimate reunion of the brothers Hardy. Together, Matt and Jeff have won the World Tag Team Championship on five occasions, but Survivor Series will see them teaming together for the first time since August 2002.

Who will survive when these 10 Superstars and Extremists collide in the same ring at Survivor Series?

Team Cena vs. Team Big Show

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

RAW, SmackDown and ECW will collide in the second inter-promotional Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match of the annual November spectacular. Team Cena, led by the WWE Champion will square off with Team Big Show, led by the ECW Champion in a match combining some of sports-entertainments hottest rivalries.

John Cena and Big Show have unfinished business dating back to the Champion of Champions match at Cyber Sunday. Both men were unsuccessful on that night, falling short to King Booker. The distaste between the two has only grown since. At Survivor Series, the two dominant Champions will look to add another chapter to their budding rivalry.

Cena’s team will include ECW’s Rob Van Dam and Sabu and SmackDown powerhouses Lashley and Kane. Van Dam and Sabu have an extensive history as a team, as well as extensive rivalries with Big Show. Both will continue to grow on the road to the Extreme Elimination Chamber at December to Dismember. Survivor Series will provide another opportunity for them to soften up the ECW Champion before the gruesome holiday pay-per-view.

The extreme giant will anchor a team that includes RAW’s Samoan Bulldozer Umaga, SmackDown’s Finlay and Montel Vontavious Porter and ECW’s wrecking ball Test.

Umaga and Montel Vontavious Porter have been engaged in separate but equally intense rivalries with the Big Red Machine Kane. Umaga has had Kane’s number so far, scoring consecutive victories including decisive wins in a Loser Leaves RAW match in September, and a recent run-in at Cyber Sunday. Kane has been taking out his frustrations at his new home on SmackDown, where he has repeatedly battered the ****y M.V.P. At Survivor Series, the rivalries will continue.

Finlay and Lashley will collide again at Survivor Series. The hatred between the angry Irishman and the hard hitting Lashley has spanned the better part of this calendar year, with countless battles unfolding at SmackDown arenas all over the world.

WWE Legends vs. The Spirit Squad

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Former World Tag Team Champions the Spirit Squad have hade their problems with the legendary “Nature Boy” Ric Flair as of late. At Survivor Series, they’ll have a heaping helping of Legend trouble, as Squad members Johnny, Kenny, Mikey and Nicky will face Flair, Dusty Rhodes and WWE Hall of Famers “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Sgt. Slaughter in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match.

Problems began when each member of the Squad tried to defeat Flair in singles action; three were unsuccessful before Kenny finally achieved the goal. However, a match was made pitting Flair and a legendary partner of the WWE fans’ choosing against the Squad for the World Tag Team Titles at Cyber Sunday. The options were Piper, Slaughter and Rhodes; WWE fans chose Piper, and he and the “Nature Boy” defeated Kenny and Mikey to claim the gold.

Despite not being chosen, Slaughter and Rhodes were firmly in Flair & Piper’s corner, helping them dispatch the Squad following the match. But at Survivor Series, all four will get the chance to battle the cheerleading quintet.

The Squad’s fifth member, Mitch, will be lurking at ringside as always; however, the Legends team will have another one in their corner, as Flair’s best friend and former Four Horsemen teammate Arn Anderson will be at ringside with them. Will experience triumph over youth once more, or will the Squad finally get it back on track against four of the all-time greats?

United States Championship Match

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

At Survivor Series, Chris Benoit will defend the United States Championship against a man he considered a good friend until recently – Chavo Guerrero.

It was just this past April that Chavo and Benoit, along with Rey Mysterio, inducted the late Eddie Guerrero into the WWE Hall of Fame. But late this summer, Chavo took a turn to the evil side, costing Mysterio the World Heavyweight Championship. Chavo then began a rivalry with Mysterio, claiming Rey was making his career off being a Guerrero despite not being one. Vickie Guerrero, Eddie’s widow, joined Chavo in the crusade, which ended with Chavo putting Rey out of action following a brutal I Quit Match on SmackDown.

Enter Benoit. The week after Chavo defeated Rey, he and Vickie stood in the ring gloating about making Mysterio quit. The United States Champion, who had been ignored by the Guerreros earlier in the night, came looking for some answers as to why their attitudes had changed; unfortunately for him, Benoit was once again ignored.

The following week, Rey made one last appearance on SmackDown before his knee surgery. Once again, Chavo and Vickie came out to taunt Rey, and Chavo viciously attacked Mysterio’s injured knee. Benoit rushed to Rey’s aid, chasing off the opportunistic Guerreros and preventing too much further damage.

All Benoit wants is an answer; at Survivor Series, he will have the chance to beat it out of Chavo. Will the Rabid Wolverine get what he wants from the third-generation Superstar, or will another Guerrero’s name be etched into United States Championship history?

Batista vs. World Heavyweight Champion King Booker

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

In January of this year, Batista reluctantly surrendered the World Heavyweight Championship due to injury. At the time, an emotional Animal made it clear that recapturing the gold would be his first and only goal following his return to the ring. Since that return, he has received a handful of opportunities to take back the championship, but each time, controversial circumstances prevented him from achieving his goal.

On the November 3 edition of SmackDown, Batista made a deal with General Manager Theodore Long: protect King Booker in the days leading up to Cyber Sunday, and Long would owe him one. Batista lived up to his promise, and has asked the General Manager to pay up and grant him an opportunity to face King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series. Long obliged, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated championship matches in recent Survivor Series history.

Since capturing the coveted gold at The Great American Bash, King Booker has faced a number of imposing challengers. Every time the King appears close to his demise, he seems to survive. Through controversy and questionable tactics, the World Heavyweight Champion has scratched and clawed his way to victory. At Survivor Series, he will need to once again rely on the experience that has made him one of the most decorated champions in sports-entertainment history.

At Survivor Series, King Booker and Batista will take their storied rivalry to the next level. Who will emerge with the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship? Will the Animal finally re-claim his prize? Or will King Booker survive and walk out with his ransom intact? Watch Survivor Series, live on pay-per-view to find out.

Mr. Kennedy vs. Undertaker

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

At Survivor Series, WWE fans will witness the bloody result of a heated rivalry between two powerful SmackDown Superstars. On one side: the young and brazen Mr. Kennedy, on the other: the legendary Undertaker. WWE.com has confirmed that the two men will meet in a First Blood Match, one of the most brutal confrontations in the world of sports-entertainment.

After boasting he had beaten every Superstar on the SmackDown roster, the ****y Mr. Kennedy got a rude awakening from SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long. Kennedy had forgotten about one of the most feared men in the history of WWE, Undertaker. After meeting in the squared-circle on multiple occasions, Mr. Kennedy, the self-proclaimed future of sports-entertainment, has not been able to claim a victory against Undertaker. When SmackDown rolled into Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Kennedy called out his rival to see if the Deadman would accept his Survivor Series challenge. In an unprecedented turn of events, Kennedy viciously attacked Undertaker leaving him broken and bleeding.

Although Kennedy has beaten World Champions and is among a new breed of young and ferocious competitors, will he have what it takes to topple the Deadman? Those that have challenged Undertaker before have usually met sorrowful fates; will Mr. Kennedy be just another victim for the Phenom?

WWE Womens Champion Lita vs. Mickie James

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

At Survivor Series, Lita will put the Women’s Championship on the line against the Diva she defeated to claim the gold, Mickie James.

Back in August, Lita defeated Mickie to win the Women’s Championship on RAW. She later lost the gold to Trish Stratus at Unforgiven, but Trish’s retirement left the championship vacant. A tournament was set up, and Mickie and Lita were the final two Divas left standing. They went head-to-head in the finals at Cyber Sunday, where Lita won a Divas Lumberjack Match to become Women’s Champion for the fourth time.

The night after Cyber Sunday, Lita offered Mickie a rematch; however, with acting General Manager Eric Bischoff’s blessing, the challenger was forced to have one arm tied behind her back. This left her easy prey for Lita, who defeated Mickie for the second consecutive night to retain the title.

Now, at Survivor Series, Mickie will have a fairer opportunity to become a two-time Women’s Champion. Will the third challenge be the charm for Mickie, or will Philadelphia see Lita improve to 4-0 against her challenger?
