Here's our official Cyber Sunday predictions thread. Just state who you think will be victorious, as well as what type of match it'll be (e.g the stipulation or partner) and how they win the match (e.g pinfall, submission, DQ, etc.) There are no prizes on offer so the competition is open to everyone! Good Luck! Champion of Champions Match To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
At this year’s Cyber Sunday, history will be made as champion takes on champion takes on champion when RAW’s WWE Champion John Cena, SmackDown’s World Heavyweight Champion King Booker and ECW World Champion Big Show compete in the first-ever Champion of Champions Match. On top of all that, one of the titles will be on the line in this amazing match. Which championship will be defended? You decide.
During RAW Family Reunion, Theodore Long, Jonathan Coachman and Paul Heyman argued over whose brand’s champion is the best and most dominant. Cena, King Booker and Big Show had the same argument, and each man was put into a match that night against someone from another brand.
After Big Show defeated RAW’s Jeff Hardy and the King downed Extremist Rob Van Dam, the argument still had no further proof. As Coachman, Long and Heyman argued, Mr. McMahon made his first appearance on RAW since Unforgiven and dropped the bombshell: at Cyber Sunday, the dispute would be settled when all three men met in a Champion of Champions Match.
Later in RAW Family Reunion, John Cena met Undertaker, but the match would be interrupted by Booker and Show. The ECW and World Heavyweight Champions threw the Deadman out of the ring and tried to attack Cena, but the WWE Champion somehow escaped. He locked the STFU on Big Show, and after later nailing the King with an FU, it was Cena who was left standing tall.
All three men believe they are the dominant champion in sports-entertainment; who will prove it on Cyber Sunday?
DX vs. Edge & Randy Orton To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
The rivalry between Edge, Randy Orton and D-Generation X will explode in the ring at Cyber Sunday on Nov. 5. But after Edge got into Mr. McMahon’s ear on RAW, the Chairman and the Rated-R Superstar came up with the idea that in order to keep the tag team match in ordinance with the theme of Cyber Sunday, the fans should choose between former RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff, Jonathan Coachman or Mr. McMahon to referee the match. Who will wear the pinstripes in the match? Voting is still open so make sure your vote counts.
The conniving Edge has somehow planted the seed in Orton’s head that it’s Triple H’s fault that after Orton became the youngest World Champion in WWE history his career seemed to fizzle. The stagnation has obviously taken its toll on the Legend Killer, and the aggression and frustration has been focused towards The Game and his counterpart, Shawn Michaels.
But, as many Superstars in WWE have found out the hard way, messing with two of sports-entertainment’s most decorated Superstars can often lead to a painful ending. What carnage will take place at Cyber Sunday on Nov. 5?
Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy vs. ??? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
On the Oct. 2 RAW, Jeff Hardy capped his quick rise to the top by winning the Intercontinental Championship. But at Cyber Sunday, three men want to be the one to knock the charismatic daredevil off his perch; just who gets that opportunity is up to you, the WWE fans.
The first option is Johnny Nitro, who lost the gold to Hardy Oct. 2 in Topeka, Kan. Nitro was able stop Hardy twice, but the third time was the charm when Hardy ended his reign on RAW.
The second option is Carlito, a man who is no stranger to quick success. Carlito won the Intercontinental Championship his first night on RAW back in 2005, and also won the United States Championship in his WWE debut two years ago. While Carlito and Hardy are on fairly friendly terms, the Caribbean Superstar would not hesitate to do whatever it takes to wear Intercontinental gold again.
And the final option is Shelton Benjamin. A three-time former Intercontinental Champion, Benjamin has made history at this event. In the opening match of the first Taboo Tuesday in 2004, Benjamin was chosen by the fans to face then-Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho. Shelton was successful in the ring that night as well, defeating Y2J to capture his first of three Intercontinental Championships. Shelton feels as if he’s been held back in recent months, but you the fans have the chance to potentially erase that thought from his mind on Nov. 5.
Which former champion will get the chance to face Jeff Hardy and regain the gold at Cyber Sunday? Only you can decide.
World Tag Team Champions Spirit Squad vs. Ric Flair & ??? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
In recent weeks, the Spirit Squad has had quite a bit of trouble one-on-one against the legendary “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Flair has defeated several members of the Squad in singles action, and he’s had some legendary backup to help him battle the Squad as well.
At Cyber Sunday, Flair will challenge the Squad for the World Tag Team Championship. Flair will have another Legend as his partner on Nov. 5, and it’s up to you the WWE fans to decide just who that is.
Your choices are:
-Sgt. Slaughter, a WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion who also holds a recent victory over Spirit Squad member Nicky,
-“Rowdy” Roddy Piper, another WWE Hall of Famer who has been a long-time friend and rival of Flair’s and is never afraid of a good fight,
-or Dusty Rhodes, a former multiple-time World Champion who may know Flair better than he knows himself.
Any one of the three would make quite a formidable pair with Flair, but it’s up to you whether it’s the Rowdy Scot, the American Dream or the Sarge who stands beside the “Nature Boy” at Cyber Sunday.
Who will try to stop Umaga? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
At Cyber Sunday, the WWE fans will get to choose who tries to end Umaga’s seven-month undefeated streak.
Since debuting in April, the Samoan Bulldozer has destroyed everyone in his path on RAW. From WWE Champion John Cena to the legendary “Nature Boy” Ric Flair to most recent victim Kane, no one has been able to stop Armando Alejandro Estrada’s Samoan protégé.
Estrada issued an open challenge on behalf of Umaga for Cyber Sunday, and three men have stepped up to accept. Who will you the fans choose? Will it be SmackDown’s Chris Benoit, the current United States Champion and one of the toughest men in WWE? Or will it be Sandman, the fearless ECW Original whose signature Singapore Cane might just have the Samoan Bulldozer’s name written on it? Or will it be the Big Red Monster himself, Kane, who was recently banished from RAW to SmackDown thanks to the undefeated Samoan Superstar.
Umaga’s fate lies in the hands of you, the WWE fans.
Women's Championship Tournament Final To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
At Cyber Sunday, Lita and Mickie James will square off to determine a new Women’s Champion, and you the WWE fans get to choose how they will do it. The choices are No-Disqualification Match, Submission Match or WWE Diva Lumberjacks Match, and the Diva who is victorious will claim the vacant gold.
At Unforgiven on Sept. 17, Trish Stratus defeated Lita to win her record seventh Women’s Championship; but with Stratus retiring following the match, the title was declared vacant and a tournament was set up on RAW to determine a new champion. Lita defeated Candice Michelle and Maria to advance to the finals, while Mickie James bested Victoria and Melina.
Both Divas are former champions, and ironically enough, it was Mickie James that Lita defeated to become a three-time champion on the Aug. 14 edition of RAW. Thanks to Edge’s distraction, Lita was able to smash Mickie with the Women’s Championship and get the pinfall.
Lita and Mickie are the only other Divas besides Trish to hold the Women’s Championship in the last two years; for one, Cyber Sunday will be the day that they add one more title to their trophy case. Will Mickie finally gain revenge for Lita’s nefarious victory three months ago, or will the controversial redhead walk out of Cincinnati a four-time champion?
Four Team Tag Match To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Four teams will compete at Cyber Sunday in an attempt to establish dominance in RAW’s tag team division. Cryme Tyme, the Highlanders, Charlie Haas & Viscera and Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch will meet in one of three matches: a Fatal Four Way, Tag Team Turmoil or Texas Tornado Match.
A Fatal Four Way Match has two legal men in the ring at one time. One Superstar must tag the other in order to make him the legal man. The first team to score a pinfall or submission wins.
A Texas Tornado Match is similar except all eight Superstars are legal and are in the ring at one time. They will battle it out until there is a pinfall or submission. The Superstar who scores the pinfall or submission earns a victory for his team.
The Tag Team Turmoil Match is an entirely different format. The match begins with two teams and when one is defeated, another team comes to the ring. This continues until only one team is left standing and they are the winner.
What type of match will it be? Be sure to vote and make your voice heard before the mayhem takes place this Sunday at Cyber Sunday.
