Best Royal Rumble winner

You got your Ric Flairs, your Stone Cold Steve Austins, your Heart Break Kids...

Who sticks out as the best in your mind? It could be any winner. The semi surprise of Benoit, Mr. McMahon eliminating Steve Austin to win the Rumble back in 1999. What about Hulk Hogan? Triple H was a good win. Or was is last years winner with Batista?

I think the best would be Beniot. Manily because he earned it and that he had a hell of a ran to get there.

Definitely Benoit. i just watched the 04 Rumble last night, and not only the fact he worked so hard in his career to finally get that main event push, but he busted his ass in that match and it was truly memorable.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

Probably the Flair one.

Next up I'd go for the Shawn one when he and Davey Smith were the first one's in and the last one's in as well (I think!!)

Worst one's were the Vinny Mac win and the Stone Cold one in 2001 when he just spent the last minute whacking Kane around the head and then over the rope. Lame Rumbles.

Actually, thinking about it more, the 2002 one was the best, the one that had Mr Perfect in the last four.

Shawns first win i think is probably the best. First time someone started at 1 and went on to win it, and with Davey Boy Smith starting at two and those two being the last two, that was just awesome.

The Benoit one was awesome, as was Flair's. The rest of them just aren't that memorable to me.

Flair's is the most memorable to me, not just because Flair won but because Hogan was booed out of the building.

I didn't see HBK's first rumble win (hopefully when they do another HBK DVD they'll include this match) so I can't comment on that, but I did see Benoit's win in 2004 and even though he was a favorite to win it that year, it was still cool to see and Benoit definitely busted his ass that night.

The 1995 RR(HBK's first win) was the year they had only 30 seconds between entrances, so the rumble was only about 35 minutes long.

For me I would have to say I loved Benoit's the most. I also liked the 1994 rumble partially because of Hart and Luger going over at the same time and then seeing the two refs argue over who one.

One of the worst was 1999 when Vinnie Mac basically left and came back to the ring at the end. 1997 also sucked with all the CMLL wrestlers in there, as well as Bret Hart being screwed in the match(storyline wise of coarse).

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

That would be sweet if they ran that type of finish again. I don't think I've ever seen that finish repeated!!

Am I the only one who liked the 99 rumble? lol. The matches before the Rumble were good, and I just liked how they set it up. Vince Training and what not.
