For the Rumble match itself, predict the winner and who they eliminate last to win. As more matches are announced, they will be added to this thread. Results of how everyone did will be posted after the show. Predictions will primarily be ranked based on predicted winner(s). The extra information (how they won) will be used only in the event of a tie.

Thirty men. Every man for himself. And an opportunity at the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Put all of that together and you have yourself one of the most intense, unpredictable, exciting matches of the year. It’s the Royal Rumble, and it’s coming to you Sunday, Jan. 29.
Last year Batista and John Cena went into sudden death in the Royal Rumble with Batista ultimately winning and defeating Triple H at WrestleMania 21 for the World Heavyweight Championship. The year before that Chris Benoit finally won the big one and went on to WrestleMania XX and achieved his life-long dream of becoming World Champion. Will the Rumble prove to be the starting point for someone else’s march to the title at WrestleMania?
SmackDown’s Lashley has already said that he is on a mission to go to the Royal Rumble and make an impact. The hard-hitting Lashley is undefeated and will surely be a force to be reckoned with.
On the RAW side, it was announced that Rob Van Dam would be making his big return to the squared circle at the Royal Rumble Match as well. Van Dam has been out since last Jan. 13 when he suffered a major knee injury. Will Van Dam be heeled enough to make a strong showing? Triple H, Kane, Chavo Guerrero, Shelton Benjamin, Viscera and Trevor Murdoch have also qualified to represent RAW in Rumble.
Who else will join the fray at the Royal Rumble? Which Superstar will be heading to WrestleMania 22 to fight for the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship? Watch the Royal Rumble Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8/9 CT on pay-per-view to find out.
WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Edge shocked the world when he cashed in his Money in the Bank title shot at New Year’s Revolution. John Cena was already bloodied and battered. He had just barely survived the brutal Elimination Chamber, outlasting five other Superstars in the process. Edge realized it was the perfect time. The Champ was at his most vulnerable, and Edge smelled it like a shark smells blood in the water.
Cena could barely get to his feet, but as soon as he did, Edge pounced with a devastating spear. Cena was still somehow able to kick out, but he was just prolonging the inevitable. Edge was just licking his chops, waiting for Cena to get up, and as soon as he did he hit him with another vicious spear. This time the 1-2-3 was academic. Just moments after Edge’s huge win, he told Todd Grisham that he and Lita would celebrate the win by having hot, torrid sex live on RAW the following night.
Before the live sex session, though, John Cena said that he was invoking his rematch clause. Lita answered Cena’s challenge and said that after some “oral persuasion” she had convinced Mr. McMahon that the rematch shouldn’t be until the Royal Rumble. Later that evening Mr. McMahon caught up with Cena as well. He told the former WWE Champion that if he made his presence felt during the live sex session, then he would lose his right to a rematch at the Royal Rumble.
It looked as though Cena would live up to his word that he wouldn’t interfere. In fact, it was Ric Flair who interrupted the steamy sex session. Edge was able to fend off Flair, though, and nailed him with a Con-Chair-To on the announce table. Before Edge could do any more damage, Cena came out through the crowd and ran Edge off. Edge refused to get back into the ring, leaving Lita alone with Cena. Cena hoisted her up and delivered an FU as the WWE Champion looked on.
The next week on RAW, Cena took the Master Lock Challenge, and Edge took the opportunity to mock Cena as Chris Masters had the hold applied. Edge nailed Cena with the WWE Championship belt, leaving him bloodied. Later in the night, after Edge defeated Ric Flair in a TLC Match, Cena extracted some revenge, attacking the bloody champion.
Can Cena regain the WWE Championship, or will the "Rated R Superstar" once again overcome the former champion?
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
After she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Batista in late December, Melina brought Mark Henry back to SmackDown with a clear mission: protect her from the Animal by any means necessary. And Henry did just that, helping MNM defeat Batista & Rey Mysterio for the WWE Tag Team Championship in the process. If that wasn’t enough, Henry later injured the Animal during a match at a live event, forcing the Animal to surrender the World Heavyweight Championship to Theodore Long on Jan. 13.
Long announced a Battle Royal that night to crown a new champion, and Henry was an automatic odds-on favorite. However, Henry and the other SmackDown Superstars were shocked when the final entrant in the match was announced: RAW’s Kurt Angle. Angle was immediately the target of the other participants, and at one point, Henry press slammed Angle through the announce table at ringside.
As the match wound down, Henry and Mysterio were the final two entrants. After Henry eliminated Rey, he believed he had won the gold, until Angle peeled himself off the floor to stare down the World’s Strongest Man. Angle had not officially been eliminated, and as such re-entered the ring, where he eliminated Henry to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
The following week on RAW, Angle announced that a loophole in his contract allowed him to sign with SmackDown, but he would honor his final commitment and take on Shawn Michaels that night. Unfortunately, a mistake by Daivari cost Angle the match, and Angle fired Daivari on WWE.com Unlimited right after the match.
That Friday night on SmackDown, Mysterio & Henry met once again in a No. 1 Contender’s Match, with the winner to face Angle for the gold at the Rumble. Angle was also in action, as Theodore Long announced he would meet Daivari one-on-one. After Henry defeated Rey to become No. 1 Contender, he and Melina made their way to ringside to watch Angle vs. Daivari.
As the match came to conclusion, Angle had Daivari in the Ankle Lock when Melina interfered, drawing a disqualification. Angle put her in the Ankle Lock instead, and Henry attacked the champion from behind. After Henry nailed Angle with the steel steps, Daivari and Melina shook hands and the master plan was revealed. Daivari introduced the World’s Strongest Man as his newest client, and promised that he would take the championship from the Olympic Gold Medalist at the Royal Rumble.
Can Angle overcome the World’s Strongest Man, or will Daivari lead another protégé to the World Heavyweight Championship?
The Boogeyman vs. JBL To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
In recent weeks, the bizarre Boogeyman has been seemingly infatuated with JBL & Jillian Hall, haunting them ever since a chance meeting prior to Survivor Series.
On the Dec. 30 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the Boogeyman came out to spook JBL as he took on Matt Hardy. A terrified JBL & Jillian ran away, resulting in Hardy winning the match by countout. The following week, after JBL defeated Hardy, Boogeyman climbed out of the moon roof in JBL’s limo. JBL & Jillian tried to run again, but this time, the Boogeyman caught Jillian, stuffing a handful of worms down her skirt.
The Boogeyman was the scheduled guest on Piper’s Pit on Jan. 13, but an irate JBL crashed the party. As he and Jillian berated Piper, Boogeyman appeared again. JBL thrust Jillian into him in order to save himself, leaving his image consultant behind to become the victim of one of the most bizarre moments in WWE history. The Boogeyman grabbed Jillian and proceeded to sniff the growth on her face. After licking it twice, he then bit it off of her face. A visibly shaken Jillian ran away covering her face as the Boogeyman chewed his treat.
The final straw came the next week, as Boogeyman once again distracted JBL, causing him to be defeated by Bobby Lashley. JBL barged into Theodore Long’s office, demanding that the General Manager do something about the problem. In turn, Long gave JBL the opportunity to do it himself, making a one-on-one match between the two at the Royal Rumble.
While the Boogeyman may be relatively untested in the ring, he certainly seems to have the psychological advantage going into the match. Can he use that to his advantage, or will the self-proclaimed “Wrestling God” figure out a way to combat the bizarre newcomer?
Mickie James vs. Ashley - Trish Stratus as special referee

Mickie James has never been shy about saying that Trish Stratus is her idol. But lately, her feelings for the Woman’s Champion had led to some questionable decisions from the excitable RAW Diva.
Mickie’s feelings for Trish seemingly grow closer and closer to levels of obsession every week. Before she fought her idol at New Year’s Revolution, Mickie caught Trish off guard by kissing her under the mistletoe and then cornering her in the shower and commenting on her chest. Mickie seemed to have Trish flustered, but Stratus was able to retain.
The night after New Year’s Revolution, Ashley had a shot against Trish. Mickie couldn’t stay away though, and was at ringside for the match. Ashley went for a pin during the match, and Mickie snapped. She attacked Ashley and caused Trish to be disqualified. After the match Ashley told Trish to look out for Mickie because she was crazy. Mickie apologized the following week and then teamed up with her idol as well as Ashley in a six-diva tag team match against Victoria, Candice and Torrie Wilson. Ashley accidentally bumped into Mickie, and James flew off the handle again and attacked the RAW Diva Search winner.
The following week Mickie heard that Trish was teaming up with Ashley on RAW to face Victoria and Candice. Mickie was heartbroken she was teaming with Ashley instead of herself and seemed to break down in tears. As upset as she was, she said she had to learn to live with what Trish wanted to do. Ashley was able to pick up the pin in the match, but as soon as the 1-2-3 count was over, Mickie stormed the ring and attacked Ashley again. Trish tried to separate them, but Mickie went back and hit a vicious kick, knocking down Ashley again before leaving.
Now the two will face each other one-on-one at the Royal Rumble, and Trish will be the special referee. Will the Women’s Champion be able to keep this volatile situation under control? And will Mickie be able to handle her idol being the referee?

At Armageddon, Kid Kash quieted the critics by defeating Juventud to win the Cruiserweight Championship. On Jan. 29 at the Royal Rumble, Kash plans to silence his doubters one more time…only this time, he doesn’t know who his opponent will be.
On the Jan. 28 edition of Velocity on WWE.com, Kristal caught up with Kash backstage and announced that he would be defending the Cruiserweight Championship at the Royal Rumble in an Open Invitational Match. Despite not knowing who his opponent will be, or whether or not it will be just one opponent, Kash promised to keep the gold around his waist.
Will Kash be able to overcome the mystery and remain Cruiserweight Champion, or will this match be someone’s open invitation to the top?
