We are only offering prizes for the big 4 PPV prediction contests (Rumble, Mania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series). Prediction threads will still occur for the other PPV's (for fun only). This is the third such thread. As more matches as announced, they will be added to this thread. State the person(s) who you think will win their match. In the event of a tie, also state how they will win it. An overall leaderboard will be created and maintained for these "fun-only" PPV's, through-out the year. Look for that to be posted after this PPV. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Over his decade-long WWE career, Triple H has cemented himself as one of the greatest Superstars to ever lace up a pair of boots. During that time, The Game has put together an impressive resume, highlighted by 10 reigns as World Champion.
Batista, however, does not plan on duplicating Triple H’s multiple reigns on top. The new World Heavyweight Champion would rather dominate RAW one time, staying on top for as long as he wants. According to Batista, losing a World Championship 10 times is not nearly as impressive as winning it once and staying on top.
Staying on top will not be an easy task for Batista, as he is now set to defend his newly-won World Heavyweight Championship against the man he defeated for it at WrestleMania 21, Triple H. The May 1 pay-per-view encounter between these two former allies is easily one of the most-anticipated rematches in recent history. Can Batista avoid Triple H’s Pedigree once again, en route to his first successful pay-per-view championship defense? Or will The Game begin his eleventh reign on top? Watch Backlash to find out

Tired of shrewd sneak attacks at the hands of Muhammad Hassan and Daivari, Shawn Michaels pleaded for a Handicap Match against both men. That way, HBK would know where the offensive was coming from. RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff, however, refused Michaels’ request. Bischoff did manage to award HBK a tag team match against Hassan and Daivari at Backlash, though. The only catch – Michaels had to find a tag team partner.
Not long after learning of his Backlash opportunity, HBK took a microphone, dropped to his knees and asked for the help of a true American in his battle against Hassan and Daivari. With the capacity crowd cheering “one more match,” Michaels asked the legendary Hulk Hogan to be his tag team partner.
The following week on RAW, Hogan ran to HBK's aid, saving him from a vicious double team at the hands of Hassan and Daivari. The act signified Hogan's acceptance of Michaels' Backlash invitation.

Chris Jericho admits that he has been in a bit of a rut the past several months. In an attempt to snap out of it, Y2J has been able to track all the way back to his Taboo Tuesday loss of the Intercontinental Championship to Shelton Benjamin in October as the match that started his funk.
The Highlight Reel host now wants the Intercontinental Championship back around his waist. But it's not that easy, as Benjamin will tell you about himself, the current Intercontinental Champion can do things in the ring that nobody else can do. Benjamin's athleticism and in-ring ability is near impossible to duplicate.
Also near impossible to duplicate - Y2J's singing. With hopes of getting under Benjamin's skin, Jericho serenaded Benjamin and a recent RAW crowd with a Fozzy original, a song that accused the Intercontinental Champion of being a bitch.

At WrestleMania 21, Edge and Chris Benoit were just two of six RAW Superstars competing for a future opportunity at the coveted World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Edge, equipped with a steel chair, nearly broke every bone in Benoit's hand to lock the victory.
The WrestleMania 21 Money in the Bank Ladder Match marked the re-ignition of a heated rivalry that dates back to the fan voting of Taboo Tuesday - a rivalry that saw much physicality in the following weeks on RAW. Despite a genuine desire to tear each other limb from limb, neither man was able to secure superiority over the other.
This will not be the case at Backlash at May 1, as Edge and Chris Benoit will battle in a Last Man Standing Match (Watch Bischoff make the match:

Trish Stratus needed to find someone to shield her from the stalking of Lita’s husband Kane. So she sought out one of the biggest men on the RAW roster — 485-pound Viscera. Little did she know that big Viscera would expect some loving affection in return for his protection. Now, Trish finds herself hoping Viscera can trample the Big Red Monster while concerned that a win might mean a long night of “celebrating” with Viscera.
Meanwhile, the monster Kane has a singular agenda: torture and pursue Stratus to satisfy his wife — destroying anyone who gets in the way. At Backlash, the man between him and Stratus is the behemoth Viscera. It’ll be two of RAW’s most powerful Superstars colliding in a battle of strength and size. Will Viscera land his organ-crushing splash? That could mean lights-out for the Big Red Monster. Can Kane even lift Viscera for the chokeslam? If so, Lita will surely get her long-sought revenge against the Women’s Champion.
This just in: Backlash this Sunday will feature Tag Team Turmoil for the World Tag Team Championship.
It'll be newcomers The Heart Throbs vs. La Resistance vs. The Hurricane & Rosey vs. Simon Dean & Maven vs. William Regal & Tajiri. Will the champions retain against such odds?
RAW's newest tag team, The Heart Throbs, battled the World Tag Team Champions in their RAW debut.
After the match, Romeo and Antonio double-teamed Tajiri, sending a strong message
