Rep Power: 22 ![]() ![]() | Taboo not so Taboo? Yanno, this is cool when you think about it, if they really do go by the fans votes and don't rig it. However, don't you think it makes the winner of the match pretty obvious? And how does a wreslter prepare for a match when he could be facing one of 20 people? Do they wait until a day or 2 before when it is obvious who is going to be picked? How do they determine who wins the match if it ends up being someone totally unexpected? Will it be believable? Shouldn't the match not be that great if it really is last minute fans choice if the poll is a dead heat? |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I guess my question is this. The two guys who don't make it into the world title match or the 19 or so other guys who don't get voted to face Jericho. What do they do for the night? If HBK is voted to face HHH do Benoit and Edge just get to sit out a PPv back stage? I really don't get that.

Rep Power: 34 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | they probably figure that there are only 3 or 4 people who have a legitimate shot at winning the vote for the IC title (Shelton, Regal, Christian, Batista), so they'll just book 4 different scenarios, and however the vote goes, thats how they'll go. and if they look at the early results and see that someone surprising like Tajiri is winning, they'll just book on the fly Same with the world title match. they probably figure Edge has no chance of winning, so book HHH-Benoit and HHH-HBK and however the vote ends up, thats how they'll go.

They must be either keep a running tab ala they know that Edge has 33% of the vote but HBK has 50% of the vote, so they know Edge wont catch him. The one thing that does stink is I imagine the WWE will have all the champs retain. They shouldnt, but they will. Imagine if HHH actually loses the title to Edge or something? That would be interesting indeed.

That is wishful thinking. Booking on the fly doesn't sound like we are going to get any "match of the year" quality type matches. It would be funny to see someone totally unexpected be in the matches and watch them scramble to come up with a match and ending. Maybe Vince wants to see what the writers and bookers are really made of and see if they can come up with something under pressure. I just hope it isn't the predictable matches that I think they will be, otherwise I think it will be a big flop. Knowing WWE, they will think it is a big success because they fans got what they wanted. I can't help thinking that Vince is trying really hard to through the nets fans a big curve ball with all the recent rumors like Cena and Kane. Maybe he finally realizes that in order to really get our attention, he has to start paying attention to what we know and fake us out as it were.

Rep Power: 18 ![]() | Russo did a lot of booking on the fly for WWE and WCW. In WCW it seemed to be a complete failure but it was workable in WWE. I don't think it necessarily means the match will be shit if it's like that. It's not going to be stellar either, though. I think some of the more obvious spots are removed when it's on the fly. |

Rep Power: 22 ![]() ![]() | I am just disappointed with the lack of people on the poll for the title. What does that say about HHH? It is obvious he wants someone he has worked before so they can just do the same match they did at a previous PPV. They prolly left Randy off because his match was not to long ago and still in peoples minds. It would be obvious they were doing the same match they had last month. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Yeah, but you guys gotta remember this is Vince McMahon, the man who rigged a Karate Fighters tournament. There is no way in hell this is going to be a legitament vote. Vince would NEVER let the fans run his promotion, trust me, he might let everyone say they are...but he already knows who is going to win this voting. I think Jericho is going to lose the title to, just to show "anything can happen in WWE" |
