Rep Power: 7 ![]() | After hearing the news of Haitch staying on through the summer, I'm changing the Hell in a Cell prediction to HHH. Just when you think you'll be rid of him... :x
| When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. ...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Luke 21:20-28 | ||

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | HIAC Shawn Michaels vs Triple H Y2Tim's Pick: WWE has done a good job of keeping these two together in a feud for the last two years (this whole feud started when HBK returned as a part of the NWO - seems like an eternity ago). They've branched out and feuded with other guys, but have still held on to their grudge. The booking of this feud going into the PPV has been such that it isn't predictable who is going to win this one. I wish they would've added a "Loser Leaves Raw" stipulation to this one - so that Smackdown could benefit from one of these guys. That doesn't seem to be the case, but that's OK - it'll be a classic without that stip. Anyhow, I think that HHH needs this win more than HBK right now. He's been much better about giving other guys a push at his expense over the last several months, and is in line to go after Benoit again. I don't see HBK having much left to do on Raw after this match, unless he wins and goes on to feud with Benoit, so I'm thinking he's either ready to re-retire or to move on to Smackdown as a heel to feud with Eddie Guerrero (who desperately needs a heel to feud with). Regardless, Haitch takes the match. World Heavyweight Championship Chris Benoit vs Kane Y2Tim's Pick: What a weak World Title match. Good thing the HIAC is headlining, because this wouldn't draw a dime. Kane would benefit from the title, as he's been in limbo ever since Mania, but he's simply not the type of draw that would benefit ratings. Plus, he's got a sub-plot with Lita (and Matt Hardy), so he's got something to do after this match, and Matt Hardy's hardly ready for a #1 contender push after months of obscurity. Plus, Benoit rules. Easy one here: the Atlantan...err...Canadian Crippler takes it. Intercontinental Championship Shelton Benjamin vs Randy Orton Y2Tim's Pick: Shelton has zero character. They started strong with him, but I'm already losing interest. He needs a character badly. Randy Orton is one of Raw's best. Randy retains. Women's Championship Victoria vs Gail Kim vs Trish vs Lita Winner: This one should be messy. Victoria & Trish can put together a solid match start-to-finish, Gail's streaky, and Lita's...popular. It's a shame that Molly has faded into the background after shaving her head at Mania. The crowd was more into her matches after Mania than they had been into any other women's match in years, and she was being booked well until she was seemingly forgotten about. Too bad, since she's a great worker. Instead, we're treated to this mess. Gail can't handle the belt, Trish doesn't need it, and Lita shouldn't be the champion, but has the best odds of taking the title of anyone. I'm picking Vicky to retain. Tyson Tomko vs Chris Jericho Y2Tim's Pick: Y2J *should* be back in the World title picture, but a feud with Benoit at this point would kill his face turn. Tomko is making his debut here, and I predict Christian will make his return and play a heavy hand in this. I'm going with the "Problem Solver." World Tag Team Championship Chris Benoit & Edge vs La Resistance Y2Tim's Pick: Benoit & Edge are going to turn against each other here. It's been teased for the last few weeks, and they don't need a win here. I pick La Resistance to retain, and a Benoit/Edge match headlining Vengeance. Eugene vs. Jonathan Coachman Winner: Eugene. Easy one here.

Rep Power: 78 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Alright here it goes. Triple H vs. HBK (HIAC): This one was a toss up to me until I found out HHH is gonna stick around for a while. That and the fact that ol' Trip hasn't won a big match in a while give him the nod. Pick: HHH Benoit (c) vs. Kane (World Title) : Benoit should win, he has all the tools and deserves to be champ for a while longer. Kane has a shot, but I'm going with Benoit because Kane pinned him on RAW. Pick: Benoit La Resistance (c) vs. Benoit&Edge (Tag Titles) : Edge hits benoit again by mistake costing them the match. Pick: La Resistance Orton (c) vs. Shelton (I.C. title) : Well, shelton still looks like he is teaming with Haas so I'm not giving him anything. He is real athletic, but needs a new look bad. WWE is gonna milk the whole longest running I.C. champ in 7 years thing forever. Pick: Orton Victoria (c)-Trish-Lita-Gail (women's title) : Victoria or Trish should win but I see Kane helping Lita to victory. Pick: Lita Tomko vs. Y2J : Y2J should win and should get the next shot at Orton for the title instead of being stuck in mid-card hell. But WWE loves these big bastards who can't wrestle. Tomko's first ppv= Tomko's first ppv win. Pick: Tomko Eugene vs. The coach : Coach sucks and if he wins a writer or two should be fired. Pick: Eugene All in all should be one hell of a ppv!

This PPV, almost every match could have gone either way. The Orton-Benjamin match, for example, i basically just picked one of them at random, and same with the womens match. I picked Benoit to win, but i really wasnt sure...and i also felt that the HIAC could have gone either way. The PPV may have sucked (from what ive read), but it certainly wasnt predictable
