Rep Power: 17 ![]() | Backlash Few things I noticed from the show: -When Ric Flair was thrown to the outside, his brass knuckles (which we weren't suppose to know he had at that point) fell out of his kneepad and the camerman accidentally caught him quickly putting them back in. -When Lita and Victoria were locked up, they fell through the bottom rope to the outside. At whcih time, they both stood up, looked at each other, and climbed back into the ring. The spot looked like it was not planned, but who knows. -Garrison Cade looks exactly like Ric Flair from back on, especially since he was wearing the same red tights as Flair on the show. -On a pin attempt, the referee for the Orton/Foley match drove thumb tacks into his hand when counting. -I marked out huge when Earl Hebner came out and Michaels had Benoit in the sharpshooter. I thought, "there's no way they would do that again..is there?" -Triple H's ref-viewed sledgehammer shot on Michaels re-enforces Ida's statement that all Triple Threat matches are no DQ. I now believe this to be the case. There's really no way they can't be because who would be announced as winner if one person got DQ'ed? or counted-out, for that matter?

Rep Power: 42 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I dont know if this was intended to be the "your thoughts on Backlash" thread, but i'll just post my thoughts here... I wasnt sure whether or not to watch the show (my "hot box" wasnt hooked up, and i was contemplating just watching the sopranos), but all in all i'm glad i watched (especially since i can just watch the Sopranos on HBO on demand) Shelton vs. Flair was good, although the finish was a little melodramatic. Shelton needs to come up with a finisher. Maybe a submission move. Like JV said, he's athletic as hell. He looks like he has a bright future, and he more than held his own in the ring against one of the greatest ever, even at Flair's age. Flair should also be commended for jobbing clean to an up-and-comer. on a side note, i realized something about Flair. People always talk about how stupid it was that he jobbed to Rico, but it actually made a lot of sense when you look at it. The storyline was booked so that the loss to Rico was supposed to be his lowest moment professionally. After that loss, he stopped being the nice old man, and turned heel and hooked up with HHH. It wasnt done to put Rico over, but it was instead supposed to spark Flair, and return him to being "the dirtiest player in the game" back to the show... I enjoyed Coach vs. Tajiri, probably only because i'm a big fan of the Coach. I was also surprised that he was able to pull a few wrestling moves out there. I said in another thread that Coach would make a great manager, and i guess he has his protege now in Cade. Cade doesnt look t me like he has "it", so he'll probably need Coach to get over Jericho vs. Christian and Trish was good and well-booked. not much to say, except that it was solidly done I missed most of Lita vs. Victoria, because i had some unexpected visitors that stopped in to say hi. Lita and Victoria are two of my favorite "Divas" looks-wise, so i wish i had seen more of the match. I'm glad Victoria won though Foley vs. Orton was awesome. this match should give Orton a shot of legitimacy as he moves up the card. Who's the next legend that Orton is gonna take down? HHH. Mark my word La Resistance vs. Hurricane and Rosey. When Eugene was running the ropes, i literally laughed out loud. Rest of the match was boring and forgettable. Did anyone else notice how Conway fell down way early on Hurricanes finisher? Edge vs. Kane. Not good. Also, it would have been nice of JR to know the name of the "Edgecution", which was Edge's finisher before he got hurt. Poor Kane. Poor, poor Kane. can a brother get a win? Main event was good again, but not as good as WM. Recreating the screwjob was brilliant, as was HBK showing some heel tendencies. Anyone else notice he came out in black tights? A little heelish if you ask me. Maybe it was a one-time thing, or maybe its the start of a turn
