In a match that will surely give one of these two talented ring warriors bragging rights over their former cohort, the duo that one referred to themselves as “the greatest tag team of the 21st century” will do battle in singles action for the first time since they were drafted to separate brands.

Morrison has a little more on the line, however, as he likely hasn’t forgotten how their longstanding partnership ended with a vicious sneak-attack by The Miz. Perhaps this match-up will see the SmackDown Superstar obtain payback for Raw’s self-proclaimed “awesome” one’s betrayal.

After both Superstars went their separate ways, they have had great amounts of success as single competitors on their different brands as evidenced by the coveted singles titles each champion has around their waist. When they collide, fireworks will fly and in the end, the WWE Universe will know which of these former allies will truly have bragging rights.

Is it just me or does this match seem like it maybe should have been saved for a bigger PPV? I mean it's not HUGE, but those two were one of the best tag teams of recent years (admittedly not saying much considering the state of tag team wrestling nowadays compared to previous eras) and a one on one match between the two is kind of a big deal. The fact that both are midcard champions on their respective brands and are getting pushed (Morrison harder/more successfully) just adds to it.

I guess it fits well with the gimmick of the PPV as a brand vs brand, champion vs champion matchup, so I won't complain that it's on this show. Hoping Miz can get something good out of Morrison with his intensity and charisma. I usually find Morrison fairly bland but this is a match I've been thinking about for a while and I expect it to be interesting.

To me having this match and how it's being set-up, it's reminding me of Invasion 2001.

I'm quite excited for what this could produce to be honest. I reckon this could be the sleeper for match of the night. The Tag is too crowded, the SmackDown Title match is underwhelming, the Raw Title match could go either way. This has the potential to be really, really good.

I think the Smackdown title match looks great.

But yeah this definitely has potential.

I predicted this when the show stipulation was revealed.

It would've made sense to hold this match 6 months ago, like, when they broke up. I'm not too intrested in it, but that's the John Morrison effect.

I'm in no doubt that Morrison will be winning this one.

I'm interested in it more now to be honest. Back then it would've been generic partner vs. partner fued, but now both have developed as characters and wrestlers and both have singles titles... It's a much more intriguing prospect.
