It looks like the ''bragging rights'' will be restriced to one match only. It's a bit of a missed oppertunity, it'd break up the monotony of WWE Pay-Per-Views if it was all Smackdown vs. Raw.

I completely agree. They had a chance to do a very fresh PPV and break away from the line up which has been virtually the same for the past three PPV's.
Never the less, this could be a very good PPV with the way the line up is shaping.
Despite the fact that I am very tired of Cena/Orton, the concept of a blow off match with an unpredictable stipulation has me hyped. Their matches are very good when A) The finish isn't TNA'd up, B) There is no DQ and they can brawl it up.
This Iron Man match is a chance for them to make history and put on a match that will be remembered for years to come. Hopefully they take note of that and do a hell of a job.
You've then got the rumored Taker/Punk/Rey/Batista match. This match likely will only get 10-15 minutes due to the Iron Man being so long, but it could be very fun. Rey and Punk work great together, Taker seems to be getting some speed back in the ring, and Batista is perfectly fine in multi man matches.
DX VS Jerishow was good on Raw. A PPV encounter for the belts could be as good if not better.
Throw in the second Ziggler/Morrison encounter, and a blow off match to Regal/Christian and you've got a great line up.

I agree with this but only because they book PPVs so predictably. I usually don't like PPVs without nothing on the line other than things like "brand supremacy". Seems kind of pointless to me. That said, I do agree that it would be somewhat fresh. One match is still enough, but the fact that another match is Ironman makes it somewhat nonsensical.

I dunno, I think their best matches have been regular matches rather than no DQ brawls (at Summerslam 07 and No Way Out 08). The lack of blood nowadays hurts a lot of no DQ matches.

Hopefully. I'm not expecting Rock vs HHH good, but I think they could surprise a few people with the quality of the match they put on.

The fact that it will be fairly short could actually help it. I can see that being a hell of a lot of fun. Good mix of guys in there. Strange that Punk is the only heel, but it will be fun to see him trying to avoid Taker and Batista and let them fight.

Not seen the RAW match but I'd expect a PPV match to be very good.

I'm probably wrong but it looks like it could be Ryder v Christian v Regal. Which would be good too.
That could be fun.
They really need to outline on TV EXACTLY how this PPV works. Now that I think about it I'm extremely confused.
Assuming DX VS Jerishow goes down at the PPV for the belts. (Which it should.) What happens if Jerishow wins? Show is Raw, Jericho is Smackdown.
Also, what happens to the ECW winner. (Assuming there is a title match.)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Main Event is a five on five match. Let's assume these problems are rectified by ECW once again not being on PPV, and Big Show declared as a Smackdown representative since it is an interbrand team and the challengers are from Raw.
Say Jerishow goes over. That means there would have to be a second Raw Tag match on the card in order to send two more guys over to team Raw. Say Legacy VS The Kool-Aid Crew. But in turn that would make it devastatingly obvious who will win the Tag Title match due to the numbers.
Other than the rumoured/announced world title matches there'd have to be 4 more singles matches. 2 Per brand.
With John Cena and Orton no doubt taking up an hour and fifteen minutes of the PPV (at least when you account for video packages, entrances, pre match, post match). That leaves 1 hour and 45 minutes for 2 Tag Team matches, 4 singles matches, the assumed fatal four way, and the Bragging Rights match.
That leaves 15 minutes for each match as well as it's entrances, post match fall out, and video packages....
I could be completely off, but unless they don't put the Tag Title match on the card or instead rule it as an attraction match with no link to the PPV stipulation I have no idea how this could work. I hope WWE actually thought this through.....
Maybe DX and Jerishow will get BYES into the Bragging rights match. With DX being the Number One Contenders if Team Raw wins they get the belts? In turn it would still allow some allure for the rematch as Jericho can claim that him and Show were never pinned.
I think this PPV should of been earlier in the year as its the month before survivor series which is basically the same as this just with a twist.
Can't see them adding too many more matches either if the iron man match is an hour + the time for the entrances and build up you are looking at around 1h 40 for the rest of the PPV to fit in 5 matches (if they add an ECW match too) one of which is the 14 man tag.
*edit*
For some reason i thought that the winners of each match were going onto a big match at the end of the night for the ultimate bragging rights but it appears i am wrong.

Was that ever in doubt? They've made it very clear that Raw is the "better" show in WWE's eyes for, well, ever. If SmackDown wins the match I'll be very shocked.
