Just weeks after making a heroic return to SmackDown, Batista has set his sights on Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show at Hell in a Cell. To achieve this monumental task, the former World Champion has called on his favorite comrade-in-arms, Rey Mysterio, to be his partner. But, will the combined skill of these tremendous Superstars be enough to topple one of the most dominant Tag Team Champions in recent memory?
After choosing to make his move to SmackDown following the expiration of his Raw contract, The Animal quickly kickstarted his exciting reemergence on Friday nights with back-to-back singles victories over Jericho and Big Show. Sidelined with an injury until recently, Batista has quickly roared back into WWE with unbridled fury, proving that his impressive in-ring arsenal has been untarnished by time. And with these two high profile triumphs under his belt, the reinvigorated Superstar seems more than ready to go after the dominant duo’s coveted gold.
At Hell in a Cell, Batista has called on his friend, The Master of the 619, to help him make history. Few Superstars in the squared circle possess the athletic ability and high-flying prowess that the masked Superstar utilizes time and time again. And after recently losing the Intercontinental Championship to John Morrison, Mysterio is no doubt hungry to get his hands back on the gold.
When Chris Jericho used a special contract stipulation to replace his injured Unified Tag Team Champion partner, Edge, with Big Show, he instantly created a tag team tour de force. Together, the two highly-decorated Superstars have fortified their championship union in impressive fashion, showcasing exceptional chemistry to overcome the likes of The Legacy at Night of Champions, Cryme Time at SummerSlam and again on SmackDown, and the exceptional duo of Mark Henry & MVP at WWE Breaking Point. With every formidable challenge they overcome, the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion & The World’s Largest Athlete have continued to cement their place in the annals of tag team greatness.
The current Unified Tag Team Champions have been running rampant throughout WWE, emerging from every battle they have engaged in with the gold securely around their waists. But at Hell in a Cell, they will face a greater combination of talent, strength and experience than ever before.
Who will emerge with the titles? Find out at Hell in a Cell, live Sunday, Oct. 4, only on pay-per-view.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - Big Show and Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio and Batista
And the point of this match is?...
Batista and Rey Mysterio haven't been involved in a feud with Chris Jericho and The Big Show so I find this piece of booking mystifying. Maybe I'm being slightly harsh but the only hint of a feud has been Batista going up against Jericho and Show in singles matches so where does Mysterio fit into this all?
I also find it pretty silly how WWE are giving Mysterio a another chance at holding a title after his suspension. Honestly, what is so special about a little guy who jumps everywhere? Moving on, I reckon we will finally see new Unified Tag Champions unless WWE are serious about this new feud and want to continue it after Hell In A Cell which menas we would probably see a stipulation match at the next PPV.
Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - Big Show and Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio and Batista
Batista & Rey Mysterio have been presented as ''friends'' on TV for four years now, so it makes sense that Big Dave would pick Rey.
This will range from good to awful. I was bored of Jericho vs. Rey, but when there will be portions of Batista vs. Big Show I can't complain too much.
There should be new champions. I can't see the faces losing after both have just returned. But it'll only be for a couple of weeks. I expect Jericho & Show to get the belts back at whatever they're calling Cyber Sunday.

I'm not sure about whether we'll see a Title change here, but I agree with Jake, if we do see the belts change hands at Hell In A Cell, they'll go back to JeriShow at the next PPV.

Good move by WWE here. There were some terrible rumours flying around that Batista would be nonsensically shoved in the title picture, making it a triple threat Hell in a Cell with Punk and Undertaker. Instead, we get what should be a very good match. Makes sense considering Batista's history with Rey, and also his issues with Jericho, and it makes the belts look good that Batista is keen to challenge for them. I expect this to be a good match and I actually with Tista and Rey will walk away with the gold.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - Big Show and Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio and Batista
I have to say I love how the tag titles are being booked lately. It takes some stars who were getting stale in the main event and freshens them up in the tag scene. It also makes the tag belts look important again. I love it.
This match should deliver, with 3 out of 4 of these guys being some of my favorite workers in the E atm. Both teams being big/small duos should make for a fun match with some fun spots like the inevitable Show/Mysterio confrontation.

I'm really looking forward to this. More Jericho/Mysterio is welcomed while we're getting the reunion of Batista and Mysterio. I also love the fact that one of Mysterio/Batista major feuds was with Show back in late 2005. In an ideal world, Batista and Show would fight around the arena leaving basically a singles match between Jericho and Mysterio. Hopefully the two big lugs wont bring down the match too much.
