At WWE Breaking Point, the WWE Universe witnessed perhaps one of the biggest controversies in recent WWE history.
At first, it appeared Undertaker had dethroned World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk by using Hell's Gate to make him submit. However, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long emerged to instruct referee Scott Armstrong to restart the match, calling the hold illegal.
Once the action resumed, Punk locked The Deadman in the Anaconda Vise. Although The Phenom clearly did not tap out of the hold, Armstrong quickly called for the bell, signaling Undertaker had indeed submitted.
The decision stunned not only Undertaker, but the entire WWE Universe. It took five days to find out any answers.
The following Friday on SmackDown, Long admitted to a pre-planned conspiracy involving himself, Armstrong and Punk to prevent Undertaker from winning the match.
But, was there even more going on behind the scenes?
Listen to Mr. McMahon’s words closely that same night on SmackDown, as he instructs Teddy on what to say regarding the controversy, and what might happen if he doesn’t say the “right” thing.
But, The Chairman wasn’t the only one who wanted to have a word with Teddy. The Deadman took Teddy on a limo ride to hell.
It wasn’t until the Sept. 25 edition of SmackDown that Long was heard from again – when he was found to be bound and gagged in a coffin! After being untied by CM Punk, Long revealed that Punk would face Undertaker and Hell in a Cell – and Hell’s Gate is now legal. And in a match that same night, Punk found a way to escape The Deadman’s wrath by defeating him by count-out.
But with nowhere to hide within the confines of their Hell in a Cell Match, can Punk find a way to fend off Undertaker and retain his gold? Or, will The Deadman inflict hellish torment and take what he believes he already rightfully earned?
Find out live on Oct. 4 at WWE Hell in a Cell, the inaugural pay-per-view event designed to take Superstars to Hell and back … if they’re lucky.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - World Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker
I think its pretty obvious who is going to win this match, its Undertaker's specialty and with what's happened during this short feud I highly doubt he will lose at Hell In A Cell. Not expecting too much from the match either because of the PG guidance and the fact Undertaker isn't who he was 10-15 years ago in regards to his health etc.
What I am expecting is for a decent wrestling match and perhaps one or two major spots whether it be CM Punk going through a cell wall or vica versa. But as I said earlier I'm not holding out hope for anything majorly great to happen. I would like to see a different outcome other then Undertaker winning but I suppose its logical for him to win at this PPV and then for their to be a fued-ending match at the next PPV.
Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - World Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker
It might be his speciality but he's only won 50% of the HIAC matches he's been in.
I think Punk will win this.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - World Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker
I don't know who will win. I don't think Undertaker should win, I just don't see the point. But unless they're going to have somebody interfering in the match on Punk's behalf I can't see any other outcome.

I think this paperview will be decent with three hell in a cell matches it's going to rock kinda interested on how the Cena/Orton match will go
Really? I think its going to be a bit of a poor event bar one or two matches. Its impossible to have three Hell In A Cell matches for main events and actually make them entertaining unless you come up with decent finish's. WWE have exausted Hell In A Cell finishes in my opinion so I will be interested to see how they work these matches next Sunday.
Anyone betting on Undertaker winning via the Hells Gate submission? That would be fitting.
Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - World Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker
After watching SmackDown (which I am currently doing) I actually think Punk's got this own won already. Vince will screw 'Taker again, maybe by sending out someone to interfere or just reversing decisions again, like was done at Breaking Point. I see a Vince/Taker fued in our future.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - World Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker
I think Undertaker winning would be fine if Punk won it back. It would be a good way to prolong the feud. Obviously this isn't ideal by any means as Hell in a Cell SHOULD be a definitive feud ender, but WWE have fucked themselves over by introducing the gimmick PPVs. Anyway, I really can't see Punk winning this so hopefully he is Champion again before too long.
The only problem with that is that once again, the amount of reigns these guys are racking up makes the World Titles seem like a joke. Punk would be a 4 time World Champion if that happened (not counting ECW). Like... really?
I don't see the match being too great to be honest.
