Only something so precious could lead two mortal men into a realm so wicked and perversely torturous, which is why the WWE Championship will be defended by John Cena against Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell Match. And it will happen at the first-ever WWE pay-per-view of its kind that sadistically celebrates the vile, steel entrapment.
Through one-on-one wars, turmoil-embossed tag matches and, most recently, a savage “I Quit” Match, The Champ and The Viper have already driven themselves through what seemed to be Hell. Now, the most grueling installment of their rivalry locks the championship-minded gladiators within the most literal manifestation of this fiery dominion.
As mandated by Raw special guest hostess Trish Stratus, Cena will find himself in a most unfamiliar territory, within the caged walls and ceiling of steel Hell. While The Legend Killer has faced the devil himself – The Phenom – in this barbaric setting, The Champ will experience the very first Hell in a Cell Match of his career.
The Viper is also now seething after having the words “I quit” forced to roll from his forked tongue at WWE Breaking Point. Focused on sustaining his Legacy, Orton is determined to make Cena’s WWE Title reign a three-week rental.
However, now that he is once again the man to rotate the gold logo on his prized WWE Championship, Cena is likely not ready to commence the countdown to his final spin. What immeasurable level of anguish will the 12 Rounds star and The Legend Killer aim to inflict on one another inside the hellacious structure?
Find out live on Oct. 4 at WWE Hell in a Cell, the inaugural pay-per-view event designed to take Superstars to Hell and back … if they’re lucky.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - WWE Champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton
Again, I'll try to ignore how retarded it is to even put on Hell in a Cell matches in the PG era, let alone use them as the theme for an entire PPV.
Personally I've always wanted to see John Cena compete in a Hell in a Cell match, and even though the matches arn't the same nowadays with no blood, brutality and such, it will still be fairly interesting to see. I thought they worked around the blood issue well at Breaking Point and produced a very unique and intriguing match, with ample intensity. Hopefully they can work around it here too in an even worse stip.
I'm expecting a fairly good match with Cena coming out on top. None of these Cell matches will be anything great though for obvious reasons.

While I'm tired of Orton/Cena matches, I enjoyed their latest one. Sure it was more like I was watching a torture scene in an action movie, but there were bits that were really good. I'm hoping this one will be good, but I'm expecting the intensity level will be more apparent in the DX/Legacy match based on their fun little brawl on Monday alone.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this as well. They teased going on top of the cage in the last one, so they might do it in this one? I dunno, I would love if they did. Like Tom, having no blood in the most barbaric hellacious match ever created in the history of professional wrestling (>.>) seems so unrealistic, might as well have another no holds barred or something. Anyway, I'm still looking forward to it.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - WWE Champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton
Despite the stipualtion being pointless, it probably won't end the feud, it should be a good match. Although because it's a Cena match I expect the beatdown & recovery to be ridiculous, similar to the Last Man Standing match at Backlash. There were several great finishes to that match, but he came back from each on until Big Show came out at the end. I couldn't take that match seriously at all, the same will probably happen here.

I meant that there were several good sequences in that match that could've easily been good enough to end the match. It got Cena over a superman but I think it'll be to the detriment of the next Last Man Standing match and possibly Cena in the long term.

Cena wasn't superman at all in that match, it was a back and forth brawl with Show interfering for the finish. Don't know what you're talking about.
He was as close to Superman as you can be if you lose. Edge couldn't put him down after 30 odd minutes, and Big Show stopped the match by putting him through a huge spotlight. The fireworks really made a heavy statement about how dangerous it really was.

He couldn't put EDGE down after 30 minutes either...
I guess any time two wrestlers go for 30 minutes or longer, they're both supermen.
