Reuniting as D-Generation X, Triple H and long-time friend Shawn Michaels will be crashing The Biggest Party of the Summer as the duo is set to take on The Legacy’s Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase at SummerSlam.
In recent months, Triple H has tried everything in his power to rid Raw of WWE Champion Randy Orton and The Legacy, but it seems as if at every turn, Rhodes & DiBiase did their leader’s bidding and thwarted The Game.
It wasn’t until The King of Kings lost a Handicap Match on Raw against the two young Superstars that it dawned on him that he needed a little assistance. What better help than the same man with whom The Game had created his own legacy as part of D-Generation X?
Only one thing stood in the way of that, nobody had seen Shawn Michaels since he lost his match against Undertaker at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. Fortunately for Triple H, HBK gave his old friend the nod and agreed to get the band back together.
Although The Cerebral Assassin and The Showstopper haven’t teamed together in more than nine months, whenever the two reunite it tends to be explosive – if not hilarious, as well.
It’s doubtful that Rhodes & DiBiase are laughing at the tremendous task set before them, but both Legacy members seem confident heading into perhaps the biggest match to date for either of their young careers.
Will it be the antics and years of teaming that lead Triple H & HBK to a successful DX reunion? Or will Rhodes & DiBiase use their natural abilities and determination to pick up an impressive victory over the two decorated in-ring veterans?
Find out when SummerSlam emanates live from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Aug. 23, live on pay-per-view.

Re: WWE Summerslam - D-Generation X vs. The Legacy
It was apparently too much to ask for DX to actually be serious considering what Legacy have done to Triple H over the last few months.
Will it be too much to ask for this to be anything other than a squash, in which Priceless don't look like they even belong in the same ring as Hunter and Michaels?
I'm leaning towards yes.

Re: WWE Summerslam - D-Generation X vs. The Legacy
Hopefully, with the serious way Priceless has been pushed over the past couple of weeks, I do expect a competitive contest. Seriously, if Triple H had to get someone's help, they're not going to make it a big squash.
I know the outcome. It just won't be as bad as people lead it on to be.

The only positive I can see is that WWE look like they're booking a WrestleMania angle well in advance. At some point Triple H will turn on Michaels and that'll lead to a final match between the two next year.
It'll be like D-X 2006 all over again. They'll win and they'll win easily. The celebrations will probably last longer than the match.

Re: WWE Summerslam - D-Generation X vs. The Legacy
The only people I remember DX squashing are the Spirit Squad, and honestly, would you let two of your biggest stars lose to a bunch of male cheerleaders? Hell, if I remember correctly, around last year at this time, people were praising how HBK always put people over, even if he won the match.
Now, it's obvious DX is going to win. They freakin' returned, of course they're gonna win. I highly, highly doubt the match is going to be a squash, but it won't be good due to Legacy being shit.

First of all, you don't have to lose the match to make your opponents look good.
Secondly, HBK as a singles star is an entirely different proposition to DX, who seem to destroy everything in their path.
Nobody is saying DX should lose this match. It's just that they have a habit of making their opponents look like they don't belong in the same ring when they get together.

Hence why I said people were praising HBK last year.

So does John Cena, but you love him, right?
Anyway, other then the Spirit Squad, I can't remember DX burying anyone. If someone even tries to say Rated RKO, you can literally To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. To be fair, the Spirit Squad really did not deserve to be in the same ring as DX. Don't know who else they've buried.
Re: WWE Summerslam - D-Generation X vs. The Legacy
lol at everyone ruling Legacy out of this match. Yes it is likely that DX will win but i still think there is a chance that WWE may swerve us & have Legacy win cleanly WITHOUT the match being a complete squash.

Apart from Miz, who has Cena ever made look bad? Making guys look good in defeat is probably one of the best things about him.
As for DX, there are many examples. Survivor Series 2006 would be a good one, when they basically buried Knox by beating him in no time at all then asking who he was. That's the sort of thing that happens when DX are together.
Also some members of the Spirit Squad were pretty talented. Hell, one of them could be IC Champ after this PPV.
