If it's done right, it'll take close to a year and a half to pull off. He's a great heel granted, but I think that the storyline in itself is worth the turn and would push him up the card significantly. Especially if it co-insided with an IC Title win over a Rey Mysterio, a Chris Jericho, or some other upper mid-carder with World Title tendencies.

I'm torn..if Dolph doesn't win the title I can't see him doing much for a little bit which may slow his potential, but Rey has been a great IC champion and has gotten the title on PPV continually. Both would be good options but either one being champion could do damage, either to Dolph or to the odds of the title continually being defended on PPV.

Yeah, if Dolph wins it's good for him to hold the belt, but WWE will likely quickly relegate the Title back to the TV only and the ocassional PPV. Whereas if Rey keeps it, it'll continue being defended on PPV... If Dolph can stay in the mix after then that's probably better for him and the Title, but why would he still be considered for the Title after two clean loses to the Champ?

Wait, you don't think this victory can assure Ziggler be regular PPV material with the IC title? Becaue I could easily expect another match with Mysterio, Morrison , and some rising faces.

While that's true the point is if Morrison hasn't been on PPV in ages with the push he's getting, would Dolph definitely get on? I don't think so personally.

PPV match vs Great Khali, match vs Rey 2 PPVs in a row... I wouldn't say it's big a stretch that WWE does trust Dolph enough to become a PPV fixture.

Dolph would be a good IC Champion, and would def. get PPV time as Jas said, but I rather have Rey keep the title for a little longer so Rey can bring some more prestige to the title.
Personally, I think they rushed into the Dolph/Rey feud.
