For God's sake, Jeff isn't leaving. You people need to let go of that. Jeff Hardy is the Paris Hilton of the IWC. I'm sure him leaving is just as true as when he broke his neck, and as true as when he failed a drug test for the third time.
But yeah, a street fight could have been great, but I'm not expecting too much from this. One on one TLC matches are generally fairly poor, and now that a fair few of them have been done, it has become apparent that they're very repetitive, and there is always a lot of lying around and awkward moments after big spots, with no other wrestlers to come in and stop peope climbing etc. Obviously there is the typical interference in every match to combat this, but that in itself is repetitive.
I can only think of three one on one TLC matches; Edge vs. Ric Flair, Edge vs. John Cena, Edge vs. The Undertaker. All fucking brilliant matches in my humble opinion.
The Trish retiring with the title angle? Twas excellent, to be fair. I don't see why not.
Twas fucking stupid was what it was. If someone is on their way out, they put someone over right and take the pin. End of story. There are no exceptions.

If Jeff loses, then that would do wonders for Punk. I don't see how WWE benefits from Jeff keeping the title. That would make the series (fued wise) 3-1 in favor of Hardy. BTW, I'm counting The Bash as a Punk L.

Edge vs Flair was good mainly because it was impressive to see a man of Flair's age compete in such a match and give a good performance. He said on the ladder match DVD it was one of the proudest moments of his career for this reason, and that it was the first time he had been involved in a match like that.
Edge vs Cena was also good admittedly. There were a few botches, but both men did well and there was a good story going into it. It did benefit from being in Edge's home town with a hot anti-Cena crowd, but yeah it was a good match. Cena's reaction at the end made it seem huge too. This match was when it started to get slightly repetitive though, because the two table bumps to outside were so predictable, and the finish was also. I remember as soon as the match was announced, I knew it would end with an FU off the ladder through 2 tables. Cool finish, yes, but too obvious.
Edge vs Taker was decent at best I felt. Again, it was too predictable.
TLC is not a stip that has much longetivity imo, especially one on one. Once a few have been done, it becomes apparent that it's gonna be pretty much the same old shit every time. I think that's what we'll see in this match.
