Of all those PPV names listed here, I think they should have just kept Fully Loaded. I liked it, it had a good ring to it.

Re: WWE July PPV's History And Discussion

Fully Loaded 2000 is probably the best PPV out of all those as well. I remember Jericho/Triple H being a very good match and Rock/Benoit being good too. I loved WWF around that period.

We have already talked about how bad the Bash has been.

I'd have to go with Canadian Stampede. I was a huge Hart Foundation fan, the main event was fun to watch. From what I remember it was a pretty damn good PPV from top to bottom. I might sit down one night next week and watch the DVD.

Wow I missed that. That is actually one of the few In Your House PPVs I have seen, and I really enjoyed it. I have it on tagged classics DVD somewhere. I would agree it was better than Fully Loaded 2000.

Canadian Stampede has to be one of the best WWE PPV's ever.

Every match a great match, a red hot crowd and the main event was fantastic.

The Undertaker also got the best match out of Vader's WWE run.

Re: WWE July PPV's History And Discussion

I think Fully Loaded 2000 was one of the only PPV's I saw that year. I remember enjoying it, but it was back in my casual fan days, so I wasn't looking for epic skill in the ring, just entertainment. I'm much harder to please now I'm a hardcore fan.

Re: WWE July PPV's History And Discussion

Canadian Stampede is easily the best PPV of 1997 (From any company) and an easy candidate for best PPV of all time. If you just take the average star rating of each match to find the star rating of the show, it without question beats out Wrestlemania 17.

It's a bit unfair to judge the best PPV like that considering the amount of matches on the card though.

I don't think so. Most of the matches at WM 17 were worst than the worst match at Canadian Stampede. The only WM 17 matches that could compare were Rock vs Austin, TLC 2 (Maybe), Benoit vs Angle and possibly McMahon vs McMahon (I still haven't seen this). Vince got it right with Canadian Stampede. It's a near flawless PPV which makes the overrated WM 17 truly look overrated.
