WWE Night of Champions 2009 will take place on July 26, 2009 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It will be the 9th event in the Vengeance/Night of Champions chronology and the 3rd under the current NOC format. Every championship in WWE will be defended at the event.

Pretty much my thoughts too.

Though I want Mickie to win, as I said in another thread, this match may just be built up to establish Maryse. And what a better way to establish yourself, than to go over the most popular, and arguably, best Diva in the division? However, they can help Maryse gain some momentum by having her go over Gail this Monday, and maybe go over somebody else the week after. I don't see the point in building it up for two months, and not have Mickie win, the odds are stacked against Maryse and lets face it, she's not been a fantastic champion. Again, we might see a face turn from Maryse here, but it's unlikely, the whole thing is Maryse not wanting to face Mickie because she's scared, but Mickie could go over so Maryse can be a valet or whatever with The Miz; she loses her title, so she's a 'loser' too and goes crawling to him. Who knows?
