After watching Raw, they didn't make Maryse look strong by having her job, however I think they should have Maryse get a win over Gail Kim next week, and give her some momentum going into the PPV because she doesn't look very credible, and it's similar to the Maryse/Michelle feud, and we all know Maryse got the last word there, and the same may happen again here.

After seeing the segment on RAW, I think Maryse will definitely be losing the title here. Usually in WWE, if someone gets the upper hand 2 weeks in a row before a PPV, they're losing.

On a side note, I actually liked that little segment they had with The Miz. Made it seem like for once they're actually putting a little effort into hyping a diva match. That said, the hairspray really gives the Beautiful People more evidence that Maryse is ripping them off lol.

When it comes to the divas in the WWE, that means shit. Candice won the title after dominating Melina before hand. Michelle won the title with the upperhand on Melina (granted, it's because of something else but still...)... and ohwow, poor Melina. But anyway... with the divas, Booking 101 does not apply.

I deliberately ignored the McCool/Melina thing because that was just McCool burying Melina thanks to her boyfriend.

I bet Mickie still wins, even if what you say is true. McCool has her little accolade of being the first to hold both, so now they can give Mickie the title without Taker getting all pissy. They don't really seem keen on pushing Gail on RAW, so I can't see her taking the belt off Maryse. It has to be Mickie really.

When's Beth gonna be used again. =/

Same. Maryse doesn't look to be retaining, and if she does, then she'll A) Get DQ' or B) The Miz will help. That being said, Miz might come out, try and spray Mickie, and she'll dodge out the way and the spray will hit Maryse. I really like how this feud has gone though, the promo at the top of the stage was so old school, and the fact they've been putting something into this feud for what, two months now, is pretty awesome. Hopefully the match is as good as the build because Maryse seems to be lack-luster in the ring, doing very little moves, but with Mickie being a top notch worker, it should be better than Melina/Michelle, which was shockingly bad considering they're both supposed to be good in the ring. I'm not sure what made that match so bad, but it seemed to me that both Melina and McCool didn't interact with the crowd, both seem to be missing something in the charisma department.

Gail doesn't even seem to be trying, if i'm honest for a second. She's good in the ring, however she's too repetative. Now I know wrestlers have their routines when it comes to wrestling, but Gail seems to be doing the same thing every single week when she's wrestling, as fresh as it may seem, for a girl who needs to get over with the crowd, she isn't doing a good job. As for Beth, i'm guessing if Mickie wins, Beth will be a future contender, lets face, she lost alot of crediblity, and got turned into a joke heel. They kind of dropped the ball with her character, she was actually developing a personality not too long ago, yet they decided to make Maryse the top heel, how she can be a top heel when she garners no reaction, i've no idea.

Beth being buried for the sake of a few weeks of unfunny comedy was horrible. Hopefully they build her back up, but to be honest, I wouldn't want to see her face Mickie again. How many times have we seen that match? A hell of a lot. The only way I'd ever want to see Mickie and Beth feud again would be if Beth was face and Mickie was heel. Without the roles reversed, it would just get too repetitive... like the Orton/HHH of the womens division.

That is one of the reasons I would like Maryse to retain. The heels aside from Maryse are basically Beth and 3 jobbers. Why does RAW need THREE heel jobbers in Alicia, Rosa and Jillian? At least if Maryse retained, she could go on to face Gail, which despite her problems, would at least be a fresh feud. Whether the fans would care much is another question though. I wish they were more creative with the womens division, and did a Mickie/Gail face vs face feud or something. If they had that planned, I wouldn't mind Mickie winning, but you just know they won't.

As for Melina/McCool, I blame 2 things. 1. Melina is fairly bland as a face, as they all are, and doesn't give the fans much reason to get behind her besides the pop for her entrance, and 2. The match was basically a burial to get McCool over, and she really, really sucks imo.

They started the burial of Beth around the time she was jobbing to Kelly. That was awful, roll ups or not, Beth was supposed to be the top heel, and Kelly going over her was the icing on the cake when it came to Beths matches; and it didn't even help Kelly get over, and she ended up not being used after he and Batista split; coincidence? i think not. Beth had strong matches/feuds throughout late 2007 and 2008, which made her strong, the fact nobody has beaten her clean yet (by that I mean w/ a finisher, code green doesnt count), leaves her with some crediblity. In addition, I can't see them turning Beth face, or Mickie heel for that matter, and Mickie/Beth we've seen alot, but WWE love to rekindle old feuds, and this is one of them. Both didn't put on the best matches of their careers in the feud either, they where pretty mediocre, and they missed a damn good chance to tweek Mickies character when she was upset about not being able to beat Beth.

Isn't Maryse pretty much a jobber herself now? Granted she won one match last week, but apart from that, she's lost a hell of alot recently. The heel Divas have always jobbed, more or less anyway. They've got 5 heel Divas and 3 face Divas, my choice would be to turn Beth or Alicia face, they're good/improving in the ring, but then the heel side wouldn't have any decent wrestlers. Gail/Maryse would be fresh, but it'd be like Michelle/Melina, something the crowd can't get behind because both are dull in the ring, and Maryse, though I like her, can only get by so much with hand gestures. Mickie/Gail = ftw though. That'd be pretty much epic. Unforgiven is coming soon, submission themed, I can see Gail whipping out some of her moves, and hopefully Mickie can whip out the Texas Cloverleaf, something she hasn't been able to do whilst in WWE; unless you count OVW because it was development then.

Michelle/Melina had horrible booking. It didn't make sense to have the champion look so weak, then have her lose. I like Michelle, but it was completely stupid how Melina got the upper hand AFTER she lost the title. Seriously what the hell?! I wouldn't be surprised if Melina won the title, and Michelle won it back, and they'd repeat so Michelle could beat Trish's record. Kidding but you're right on Melina, she's a horrible face, doesn't interest me in the slightest, and her code green finisher is pretty lame, I think MsChif does it way better. Funny how not many of the Divas have decent finishers, although Mickie James has about 5 or 6, if you include DDT variations.

True that not many of the divas have good finishers. It annoys me the way McCool uses the Styles Clash to give the illusion that she can actually wrestle. I know you're a fan, but I really don't consider her to be very talented at all, and she is clearly being pushed for one reason and one reason alone. I hate the way she pinned Melina a couple of times before The Bash, then again at the PPV, then when Melina started getting the upper hand she was pinning Layla and not Michelle. Ridiculous how they are making her look so strong. Also, notice how all the good faces minus Melina are on RAW? That's so McCool can keep the title for a long ass time. I'm guessing her next challenger will be Eve.... yeah.

Beth was indeed already being semi-buried, but some of the things that happened during the Santina angle were just unbelievably bad, like when Khali just tapped her on the head and she was out, allowing Santina to pick up the win. That gets my vote for the worst angle of 2009 so far, and is the best example yet of just how little WWE care about the women. I'd rather see Kelly pushed to the title than that Santina shit. Thank God its over.

Mickie/Gail would be a great match indeed.

Also, on a random note, although I appreciate this is taking the thread some way off topic, I really hope Natalya gets a title run eventually. Unfortunately, with McTaker there, she probably won't for a long long time, despite being better in every way.

Granted she doesn't use two of those anymore, the fact she did once still counts. She has more finishers than some of the Divas combined, and the only time she botches it is when her opponents don't lift her properly. Crikey, reading over, 7 finishers, she has more moves than some of the guys in WWE. Personally I thought she did the Stratusfaction better than Trish 'overrated' Stratus, though i'm probably being biased because I hate Trish

What annoys me about McCool is that she takes the TNA finishers; Wings of Love, Ankle Lock, Styles Clash, she doesn't do them properly. I dunno if it's on purpose, it could be just to add a variation to it and make it seem like she hasn't copied them 100%. I'm a fan of Michelle, mainly because of her in-ring work, I was a bit naive to her politics though, and recently i've been reading up about it, some of the things she does can be excused, including her push, however the way the feud prior her title win was booked made me think again; throw in the fact they made an article talking about Michelle being the best ever, that srsly made me fpalm. And I noticed that, she went over Mickie a while back in what, 70 seconds? Even when she is on Smackdown, she's going over on someone elses brand, Michelle didn't need the win that night, especially over the top Diva face of the company because she already had enough momentum/credibility. Her title win was also like a fairy-tale, she wins the title at the same PPV she won the Divas title, makes history, yadda, yadda, yadda. As for Eve, didn't Michelle already go over her once? lol.

Sad part is, they did actually push Kelly. I don't know what they hoped to gain from the angle, they made a joke of Beth, and when you think about it, the whole division; Beth was the top girl, nobody could beat, how does that make everybody else look? Lets not take the top heel seriously, and just forget how that will portray the rest of the division. Thankgod they stopped that shit. They're probably keeping Beth off TV in the hopes that people will just forget about Santina, it also seems they dropped the Beth/Rosa thing too.

My problem with Nattie is that people rave on about how awesome she is because she's a Hart, i've seen her wrestle in Japan, and she's great, however she needs to prove it in the WWE. I can rave on about how amazing Katie, Beth, Mickie where on the circuits, but it means nothing to the company they're currently in. Nattie is a fantastic wrestler, and a title run would really help her shine; McCool has to drop that title eventually, and lets hope she drops it to Nattie. McCool made Nattie tap, time for Nattie to make McCool tap; sounds pretty fair if you ask me.
