This is really bad booking. Edge does not have a match at The Bash. I understand if they do not want him in the title picture for the time being. They still could have put Edge in a match. He is the top heel on Smackdown and he has no match on PPV. That is just poor booking. I think they could have set up a rematch John Morrison vs Edge. I would have love to see this on PPV. It would be good for Morrison's push and to keep Edge on PPV.
What match would you like Edge to be in at The Bash?
Edge being left off the card just adds to it being the best looking show of the year.

All top stars get breaks from PPV's. That, and he doesn't have a program with anyone really. I'm sure he'll face Morrison at the next PPV if they build up that feud.
Plus, I like seing the current feuds actually given time at the PPV, even Khali and Ziggler.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeap, Edge is pretty banged up, last I heard, and this was WWE's way of giving him a break. Tag matches, no big PPV match, reduced house show schedule, etc etc.

Eh, Edge needs to go back to wrestling in the midcard. That's where he had his best matches. His match with JoMo proves it.
But yeah, he'll come back after being away for a while - if he is away - and then "shock" the world by, I dunno, just picking up the title and walking away with it this time. Don't think he's done that before.
As it is, looks like they're grooming Punk to be SmackDown's top heel.
