Nah, assuming Cena does somehow lose this all it would take is to instantly go into another high profile fued or rack up a few big wins and he would be none the worse for it. Like I have said, he is credible enough that he can afford to lose to a guy like the Miz.

That's kind of my point. If he loses to The Miz then they'll have to give him some big wins. That shouldn't happen with Cena.

And if Cena wins, then there really is no problem at all.

If Cena wins then it doesn't really prove anything. He's simply defeated somebody he shouldn't have had any problem with.

But Cena knows how to put guys over without losing. So when/if Cena wins, The Miz, either way, will look more credible.

If Miz looks like a threat, gets a couple of near falls, escapes from Cena's finishers once or twice, a few counters etc, it will do him a lot of good. As you said, he doesn't really look in Cena's league, but even pushing Cena to a long hard match would change that.

I really don't think they would have wasted like two months of pushing the Miz just to make him look bad against Cena. Cena doesn't NEED to look great here, the Miz does if he has a chance to be more then a mid carder.

I just can't see the E wasting that much time on the Miz, adding the match to the PPV etc.

I haven't actually seen the Raw this is announced on yet, but I'm seriously happy about it's announcement. I can't see them spending all this time building up this fued to simply have Cena destroy Miz, so figures crossed a nice competative match that elevates Miz and can even keep the fued going so that Miz gets to mix it up with Cena again. That would be great.

I actually think Miz will win this one. Luckily and unfairly, sure, but it would be great for Miz to have a pinfall victory over John Cena to boast about. This would obviously lead to another match down the line.

I'm praying for Miz to win this one, he's one of my favorites. I think Cena will win (especially since he got pinned on Raw with Miz standing over him) with Miz getting in some offense. It'd be amazing if Miz won and then wouldn't want a rematch because he'd say that he'd have nothing left to prove. It would be great if Miz won and then would keep bragging about his amount of victories over Cena. But in reality, Cena will end up with the win.

Isn't Miz "7-0" or something now though? I know we've been saying that Cena losing won't really do him any harm, but he would look like an utter chump if he did lose after Miz has been bragging for months he can beat him.

Depends how he loses. If Miz cheats to beat him, I don't think it will make Cena look too bad. The only question is, how would a rematch come about if Cena were to lose the first match. It wouldn't look good for Cena to be begging for a rematch, but there's no real reason why Miz would want to give him one.

But yeah I don't think Cena would look bad if he lost one match to The Miz, despite his boasts. Maybe Maryse costs him or something lol.
