I guess this ruins the whole point of the match (except for the IC title being on the line...)
i kinda knew about him already unmasking in wcw, so
let me reword my statement...I just can't see Mysterio unmasking at The Bash.

I personally think Mysterio was a much better character unmasked.
May I ask why?
I personally can't look at Rey Mysterio without a mask and think hes credible in the main event. Especially if its anything like his Filthy Animals run in WCW.

Yeah, Rey really went to shit in WCW when he took off the mask.
The match was great though I don't think the fued is over just yet. Smackdown still works in a cycle and I can see them continuing Jerico/Edge vs Rey/partner (probably Morrison).

Yeah, Rey really went to shit in WCW when he took off the mask.
The match was great though I don't think the fued is over just yet. Smackdown still works in a cycle and I can see them continuing Jerico/Edge vs Rey/partner (probably Morrison).
That would no doubt produce some awesome matches and make the decision to put the belts on Edge and Jericho look a very wise one.

The Filthy Animals were one of my favorite factions in WCW. His matches singles matches with Kidman were probably my favorite matches of all time and then him and Kidman vs. 3 Count or whatever for the CW Tag Titles was fun as well. I just think Rey needs a gimmick change.
I'm not understanding why people think Rey won't lose his mask. Notice they've been promoting the over mask thing that looks like La Parka's old mask lately. He can easily lose, and they can still have him sell the over masks, and he can still wear them, but take it off before his match.
He could have done that, sure, but he'd still look like a twelve year old once he was in the ring, and it would mean that rather than having two masks to sell of Rey's, they'd only have one. They'd take a serious hit in merch sales.
Stupid match, everyone already knows Mysterio wrestled in WCW for a bit without his mask so to make it as if it's going to be the end of Rey's world if he loses his mask is just stupid! it's stupid i tell you! stupid!
By everyone, you mean those of us hardcore fans that bother to research this shit and make up about 20-25% of WWE's audience, right?

That was the feeling we all got watching The Bash it seems. Should be a great fued to.
Also, this match made Taker/HBK look like drooling baffoons playing happy slaps.
