WWE The Bash - Melina vs. Michelle McCool - Women's Championship

I'm probably in the minority here, but i'm looking forward to this match. Obviously it's not going to be any Mickie/Melina from Backlash, but atleast it's been booked alright, and the match itself contains two female wrestlers who CAN put on a good match. I'm not sure who's going to win, i'd rather Melina retain, then we can see perhaps Melina and Maryse vs Mickie and Michelle in a winner take all match at The Night of Champions. My hopes where to see both Maryse and Melina defending their titles at the Bash, and both McCool and Mickie winning, and then having McCool and James feuding over who held both titles first (knowing WWE they'd say it was a tie or something), and then them two maybe having a match at Night of Champions; McCool vs Mickie - and they can unite the titles. That's just wishful thinking though.

As much as I wish they had never even created the Diva's Title as the Women's Division isn't nearly strong enough to have two Titles, and now wish that they would just unify the pair and admit their mistakes... It's not gonna happen any time soon I'm afraid.

Yeah I still wish they'd done the idea of giving one brand the tag division and the other the womens division. As well as making the divisions stronger it would increase the difference between the brands and make them feel like true alternatives offering different things.

Anyway, at least currently there are two fairly solid womens feuds going on at the same time.

Yes, well... We all said that when they announced the idea, and we're all still saying it now. WWE should ocassionally listen to us, we're not all fucking stupid.

As for "two fairly solid womens fueds", it'd mean more were they not both over meaningless Titles, and if neither involved Michelle "I Love Tennis" McCool.

I'm hoping for a Michelle McCool win. Melina has been a boring champion. Michelle is much more interesting.

I gotta disagree though. I'll admit Michelle can get pretty sloppy sometimes and her mic skills are terrible, but in the ring she went from being a Diva Search reject, to a respectful female wrestler. She worked with Maryse at house shows for months, helping her, and now Michelle is currently helping train the Smackdown Divas (ie; Layla, Eve and Alicia), from what i heard anyway.

I can't understand how anyone can say she is bad in the ring, because she has obviously demonstrated some ability in the squared circle, and really showed soome solid ability last year and this year. Even her match with Gail Kim was good, and hopefully at The Bash, she'll put on another good performance.

alone proves she's talented, and since Michelle was on Smackdown last year, she couldn't work with many stronger female wrestlers, because they where heel. Once she starts working with the better females, then maybe then people will see what a decent wrestler she really is.

No matter what anyone says, I'll likely never accept Michelle as a good thing. I'll admit she'd improved since first arriving, but her position as a former Champion and head of the Smackdown Divas simply comes down to who she's sleeping with and I will never respect that. Ever.

Fair enough, but sleeping with someone doesn't mean you're not talented. That and Michelle was being groomed to become Champion all last year. The title itself was made for Torie Wilson, but she retired, therefore Michelle had to take it. She was 'head' of the Smackdown Divas quite simply because there wasn't anyone else on there (face-wise), who could wrestle as well as her, the rest where heels; Victoria was a jobber, and Nattie had only just arrived.

As for politics, the whole argument for that is flawed. Most people get their information from dirt-sheets, sites which mainly put up half-truths and fake or exaggerrated stories. Next, Taker is a respected guy backstage, and is pretty much against politics to get you further in the company (ie; getting pushes, title reigns). That is a major problem with the argument with politics, why would Taker use something he is against? He is a well know figure-head backstage, he's hardly in the title hunt, rarely main-evented mania when he deserved it, and occasionally jobs - that alone tells you that he isn't a 'nasty' politician, so why would he do it for Michelle? Michelle has tried to be pushed for WWE for years, way before her title reign, and way before becoming head of the Smackdown Divas.

McCool is basically a female Triple H, but at least Triple H was good at one stage.

McCool is not particularly attractive for a diva. She has no charisma whatsoever and sounds half asleep when she is talking on the mic. None of her matches are entertaining in the least. She is just soooo dull.

I don't hate her like some people do, I just think she's pretty pointless. Hopefully Melina holds onto the gold.
