In order to keep his most prized possession as ECW Champion, Tommy Dreamer will not only have to defeat Christian again, but Jack Swagger, Mark Henry and Finlay as well. The five Superstars are poised to square off in an ECW Championship Scramble Match at The Bash to determine who is worthy of touting the title.

Dreamer achieved a goal he had long aspired to at Extreme Rules when he pinned Christian. He won the ECW Title for only the second time since ECW’s inception. On that first occasion in 2000, the ECW Original lost the championship that same evening.

Since he attained golden status, Dreamer has been the most sought-after Superstar in the Extreme brand. On June 16, he faced Swagger in “The All-American American’s” crack at a title opportunity. Swagger won, but Christian and Finlay joined in on the action.

In arguably her biggest move since being named interim General Manager, Tiffany decided that the best way to settle the controversy surrounding the ECW Title would be to feature all of those Superstars involved. As a result, she arranged for all five men to meet in the squared circle in the first ECW Championship Scramble Match since Unforgiven.

Will the ECW Champion hold on to the dream? Will Swagger or Captain Charisma regain the title, which each recently relinquished? Find out at The Bash on Sunday, June 28 on pay-per-view.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match

This will be good. I only disliked the scramble idea originally because 3 on one show was awful stuff.

I think this could tell a good story, hoping to see Dreamer get the underdog win again.

Hope Wwe doesn't pull a stupid move and making this the opener, just because it involves the ECW title. I like Dreamer but I'm hoping christian recaptures the title.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match

This would of been the perfect opportunity to give Evan Bourne a push. He doesn't even have to win the match, but putting him in there with the ECW main eventers would of done some good for him.

Anyway, Swagger ftw.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match

I agree. Why not add Bourne considering he's been getting the better of Henry over the past couple of weeks.

I don't know why Finlay or Henry are involved in this. As it's a title match it should go to the top four contenders.

D.H. Smith might not have been on TV for long, but he's arguably done more than Finlay in recent weeks.

Because if they put Smith in and he doesn't win that sort of takes some of the wind out of his sail. They are pushing him right but taking it slower, and Finlay is infinity more credible.

Hoping for a title switch.

Not really. It all depends on how they book it. Last year The Brian Kendrick was essentially an Intermin WWE Champion. It worked for him at that time. If you give Smith a good showing then then it won't harm him in the slightes. There are going to be four other wrestlers who'll be losing the match as well.

Finaly hasn't done anything since No Way Out in Feburary. I actually think Kozlov would be more credible.

I think the Scramble concept is rather pointless if it doesn't end up with a new champion. I just don't see the point in having the champion retain.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match

Smith has been around for what though, a month and half? Way too soon for a title shot even if he is being pushed. The ECW bookers are doing a good job by slowly making the Harts look unstoppable without pushing them too hard.

Finlay's years of experience are enough to give him credibility. Kozlov has done squash matches, but really he isn't needed in the match with Henry there as they would effectively play the same role.

From what I read of the Superstars spoilers the Hart Dynasty aren't that unstoppable.

Six months or so ago Kozlov was feuding with Triple H & Jeff Hardy. It was a possibility that he was going to become WWE Champion. He was also in line to challenge Undertaker at WrestleMania.

None of the three have done much recently, but Kozlov has certainly done more over the past year. Finlay has been in no man's land for a while now and Henry hasn't done anything since he lost the ECW Championship.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match

Henry just beat Bourne, and has been in several ECW main event tags. And his size alone gives him credibility. And again, Finlay has been in a lot of ECW main events since No Way Out. His last match was actually the main event of ECW, so...
