Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
Henry has also been losing to Bourne over the past month. And if you look at the size of Henry in comparison to Bourne, he should win. Losing to Bourne doesn't do anything for his credibility and neither does winning. It's a bit like me beating up a toddler. I really should win.
Finlay might've been appearing on ECW weekly, but he's not been involved ina proper storyline. I'd say that they've established Burchill more over the past couple of months, and he's been losing.
There's also nothing wrong with a wild card wrestler in a match like this. Somebody like Zack Ryder. People will either embrace him or boo him out of the building. Either way there are four other wrestlers in the ring to keep the match on course.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
I take it you don't watch ECW? Otherwise you'd be aware he lost by countout and DQ. It was a well booked angle, Henry didn't lose any credibility through it, but Bourne gained a lot.
Finlay was fueding with the Harts for several weeks up until he took two weeks(?) off, and, again, if you watched ECW you'd see he now has issue with Christian, Swagger and Dreamer.
Rhyder is still a low-carder, nothing more. He lost to Bourne, who isn't even in the match. No reason to put him in the match at all.

It was just an example of a wild card, he was just the first wrestler that popped into my head. But I'm sure you'll agree that Brian Kendick added another intresting dimension to that match last year, over Big Show who wouldn't have added any intrigue at all.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
I'm not interested in this match at all. Scramble matches aren't one of my favourite matches to watch and with the guys that are wrestling in it, the match is going to be a bore. I don't get why Mark Henry and Finlay are getting a title shot...What have they done?
I can understand why Swagger and Christian are still in contention because they've feuded with Dreamer. WWE's booking at times, is questionable.
I suspect Tommy Dreamer will hold on to the ECW Championship just to give his reign some credibility. In saying that titles don't mean anything neither does building credibility in the WWE.
Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
Mark Henry's size is enough to give him credibility, and he just got a nice win over Bourne. Finlay also has experience to give him credibility and he just laid out Swagger, Christian and Dreamer this week.
ECW's booking is pretty good.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
I wouldv'e prefered Bourne and Kozlov over Finlay and Henry due to my personal tastes, but all four men can add to this match and I'm not gonna bitch about two guys I'd like to see in there, not getting in there, when two other guys I like are anyway.
I enjoyed the ECW Scramble at Unforgiven last year, and I agree that having The Brain Kendrick in the Smackdown one was a smart move, but I also understand the reasoning behind having (arguably) ECW's four biggest stars in ther with Dreamer, rather than giving Bourne, Koslov, Smith, Kid or Ryder a shot at glory. Dreamer is playing the underdog Champion, and as such needs to be the smallest guy in there to give more weight to his eventual win and retaining of the Title.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
Definitely a good move on WWE's part. The ECW scramble was easily the most exciting last year because it was the only one where you really thought it could go to any of the 5 competitors. It's also been booked brilliantly (in my opinion) as you really do have a wide open main event picture right now. Finlays heel turn makes it even more interesting, and it really does stack the odds up against Dreamer.
Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
Man ECW is the only show that can crediably build something like this. I think itll be good for what it is. Its either to make Dreamer look more like a survivor, or take the title of him and not ruin what they did. That just brings us back to where we started.

Re: WWE The Bash - ECW Championship Scramble Match
I did enjoy the first Scramble matches last year at Unforgiven. Lets hope this new one at the Bash is as good.
Now, both Finlay and Mark Henry are interesting choices. We have Mark Henry, who'll supply the power and dominance in the match. He's supposed to feel like the main antagonist with his power. Finlay is a good addition for his verteran work/skills and ability to work a decent match.
But really, as nice as an addition they are, they're nothing but fillers in the match. They were the only best options to put in the match.
Christian, Swagger, and Dreamer are the only one's with any real chance at winning.
If WWE intends on making Dreamer a more credible champion, aswell as planning on making him hold the title a bit longer, then a win in this match will do wonders for him.
If not, then both Christian and Swagger are the other two options to win. Christian is practically the top face of ECW. So if not Dreamer, Christian should be the one to hold the title. Plus, ECW is packed with heels for him to feud with. Swagger is loved by Vince and is still getting that huge push, so him winning is not out of the question. A win like this would really help out a future star with potential.
