I like the stipulations for both of these matches considering the matches at Judgment Day, I just wish that Vince had bothered watching JD and had realised that it was a very average PPV and that none of the matches deserved a rematch being made really. Except for Umaga/Punk, which ended all wrong considering how the match was built.
Eh most of the undercard matches I enjoyed and would love rematches for. SPOILERS BELOW!!!
Jeff Hardy vs. Edge Ladder Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho No DQ (makes no sense unless WWE decide to have Jericho go on about how he got DQed in the four man match a few weeks back)
Umaga vs. Punk Samoan Strap Match
Card is shaping up nicely, specifically the last two I mentioned. Strap matches aren't done enough.
I see no reason to have those rematches though. Rey has tons of opponents to choose from, and Punk's apparently not winning at PPV's anymore as part of his "push", so why bother having him at them at all. Haha!!
I get that, and I don't dislike the idea of getting another Jericho/Rey match. I'm just irritated that we're basically being fed Judgment Day Extreme as if it's all brand new. If I paid to watch PPV's I'd shit in a box and mail it to Vince.
There's a storyline to those fueds..? Sorry, I hadn't noticed cos it felt like two matches thrown together at the last minute to make up the numbers on the PPV to me.
The Punk/Umaga build is pretty big actually. I don't even watch Smackdown, but I know that. And I know Jericho/Rey has had build also.
And for arguments sake, even if the matches didn't have that much build before Judgment Day, it could've been the place to start those feuds that carry on. It's not like nothing will have happened between JD and Extreme Rules. It's called progression.
