After defeating John Cena at Backlash, it didn’t take long for World Heavyweight Champion Edge to find out he would be defending his gold against the high-flying Jeff Hardy at Judgment Day.
On the first SmackDown after Backlash, Jeff Hardy won a No. 1 Contender Fatal-4-Way Elimination Match against formidable foes, Kane, Chris Jericho, and Rey Mysterio in Madison Square Garden. The victory officially gave Hardy the opportunity for a match with The Rated-R Superstar.
And on that same night in The Garden, Hardy delivered a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb to Edge, who found himself in a vulnerable position after losing a non-title match to CM Punk.
Hardy has made it clear. He wants gold – something that was taken from him at Royal Rumble by none other than Edge, after a shocking betrayal from his own brother, Matt Hardy.
At Backlash, Jeff finally got revenge on his brother by winning their emotion-charged “I Quit" Match.
Now, Hardy has set his sights on the world champion.
Can Edge find a way to beat Hardy like he did Cena at Backlash, or will The Charismatic Enigma ride a wave of momentum into Judgment Day and leave with gold around his waist?
Don’t miss all the action live on pay-per-view on Sunday, May 17 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT.

Re: WWE Judgment Day - Edge vs Jeff Hardy - World Heavyweight Title
Jeff is going to win the WHC against Edge, if not at Judgement Day, then definitely somewhere down the line. The WWE can not afford to lose Jeff Hardy so they will give him the World Title as a way to keep him in the WWE. Jeff will sign a new deal by the summer for sure. The WWE plans on giving Jeff a long and dominant reign. Jeff is the ONLY deserving Hardy to be a World Champion.

I'm suspecting CM Punk to cash in the MITB & take the title of Edge after this match.
I hope i'm wrong though Edge REALLY needs a long title reign now.
That would be horrible booking for so many reasons. YET ANOTHER title change and CM Punk winning it without looking credible in the slightest... again.

Yeah, the "eww" was more at the match than the booking. Can't complain about the booking behind it really, but if their last match was anything to go buy this should be ne to forget.

I'm hoping this turns out to be a decent match. I don't see it being bad but... I don't know. I'm not excited. Besides Show/Cena, this is the match I'm least looking forward to.

Re: WWE Judgment Day - Edge vs Jeff Hardy - World Heavyweight Title
Edge will win but hopefully at the next PPV it'll be a ladder match between the two where Jeff Hardy wins but at the same time a long reign by a champion is needed rather than the title changing hands every month with 1 title defence max. And get rid of the whole money in the bank idea, a load of bull.
