Christian vs Swagger was boring as hell, and the finish was completely ridiculous. Orton vs Batista was not only boring, but you could literally call everything that was coming. The only good part of that match was the boo/yay punches that favored Orton. The Ric Flair thing was a great surprise as I love Flair, but it is was so random. And I do not hope that Flair is back in a storyline. Orton was made to look very weak...which pisses me off since he is suppost to be this dangerous human being. Jeff vs Edge was a dissapointment, which I am surprised that the crowd wasn't that into. Considering that the Cena and Big Show match was slow...the crowd was into it. So for sure I expected a hot crowd to get behind the match. And also the spots were pretty lame and again something that I could call even before it would happen. I sure hope the Hardy brother feud is over...I think it would of been much better if Jeff would of just got caught and lost cleanly. Punk and Umaga was a ok opener and I was real happy to see Umaga get the win. With the exception with Jericho/Rey and Morrison/Shelton I think all the matches were nothing special and not even close to being decent. |
Christian/Swagger was very good imo. Plenty of body work by Swagger making him look great, a lot of continuance from their last matches with Swagger again having to resort to cheating and Christian again doing what Swagger did to him, in order to pick up the win.
Flair.. don't care about him.
Edge/Hardy was what I expected. Kinda dull.
Umaga/Punk was good. Morrison/Shelton was good. Jericho/Rey was good. Christian/Swagger was good. To think Umaga/Punk and Christian/Swagger were nowhere near decent is ridiculous considering most feel decent is in the "average" range. You really think they were below average? Ridiculous.
The main events may have been average, but the others were all slightly above it imo. I'd not give one match ****, but I'd say all four of the matches I liked were ***-***1/2 while the main events were all in the **1/2 average area.
