Was i the only one that thought it was great. I know we are coming off an average WM but i really enjoyed last night. Probably because all the results went the way i wanted them but still. Cena V Edge was brilliant. Cena giving Edge the FU into the crowd was epic. Looks like Cena and HHH will be sitting out for a few weeks.
The funniest moment of the night was Edge's pyro not going off. You could see how pissed off he was.
Christian/Swagger was SO GOOD for an opener. I have to admit I thought Swagger was green at first but him and Christian are two of the best guys going these days. Love the way he uses his amateur mat-wrestling to bully his opponent. Christian took a huge bump to the floor, bigger than normal. Christian is an awesome face-in-peril and I loved his hope spots. Lots of cool shit in that match, and I dug the finish a bunch too.
Steamboat/Jericho was good but the worst of the three Steamboat matches this year. Everything was really good up until Steamboat fucked up the Figure Four, after that everything got pretty awkward and sloppy. Steamboat looked great with his armdrags, chops and a TOP ROPE back suplex. Jericho used too many restholds but I dug his heelwork.
Kane/Punk was better than expected though Kane’s awful selling dampened it for me. Punk was surprisingly good and carried the match with his armwork. Punk needs to work stiffer if he’s going to continue his faux-MMA striker schtick, though. Dug some of the spots in it, but it was nothing special. Punk works Kane’s arm all match and Kane wins with a Chokeslam, eff that. A smart worker would have atleast done something like use his left arm for the Chokeslam. Wrong man went over too, though Punk looked good in defeat anyway.
Jeff Hardy officially joined the ranks of Edge and Shelton Benjamin in terms of awfulness last night. The man should never be allowed to be on offence for more 30 seconds at a time ever again because he totally sucks. Jeff is a good face-in-peril and that’s it and he dominated the match and it sucked. He excels at two things, selling and bumping, and he didn’t take any bumps at all and his selling was total ass. I felt bad for Matt trying to bring some structure to the match by working Jeff’s legs over nicely only for Jeff to get up and hit highspots and legdrops anyway. Matt was an awesome heel and looked like he was doing his best to make it work but holy crap Jeff is shit on offence. He isn’t brutal, exciting or smart at all and the crowd was dead until Jeff broke out the table. Finish was the goofiest shit ever, though I have to admit I dug Matt’s pleas and him bringing up their mother of all things. It still sucked, though.
Santina crap didn’t do much for me though it was no worse than any divas match. I got a kick out of JR’s expressions and Khali was pretty funny. Khali is way more entertaining than Santino, but yeah this was a waste of time.
6-man tag was alright. Orton was fucking great in it, loved his facial expressions and reactions to everything, and his offence was nice and brutal and still sells his ass off. DiBiase and Rhodes also looked good, they didn’t get to do a lot outside sell for the faces but when they did they looked good. Shane was total garbage and it looked like Trips fucked up the finish ridiculously at first but I guess it was just the idiot with the bell. Batista was good as the face-in-peril though, and was quite easily the best man on the face side. Happy with the outcome of the match and am fairly happy with the finish outside the confusion. Orton’s reaction to the kickout in particular was epic.
Edge/Cena was awful and the biggest borefest since, uh, the last PPV main event. Edge is just a sack of crap in the ring and totally sleep-enducing, and Cena was nothing special too. Amazing how many matches they’ve had and still have zero chemistry together. The Attitude Adjustment into the crowd was pretty fucking sweet but everything else stunk. The finish was also just as goofy as the Hardy’s match finish and reminded me of something I’d see at a Universal Studios SFX show. Message to WWE, if you are going to water down your product to the point where blood and violence are non-existant, STOP DOING STIPULATION GRUDGE MATCHES. The mind is truly boggled at that.

That gimmick was never funny, and the more you do it, does not make it any funnier. Basically I'd stop with it now if I was you.
Anyways, I haven't seen the show yet, but why in the world is Punk losing again? Surely they aren't going to have him win the briefcase, then job him out, before randomly having him win the title again are they? Punk'll never look like a legit main eventer if they keep this crap up.
The only saving grace will be if it leads to a personal feud.
And PY, Punk and Cryme Tyme were out there too so..

Good PPV to see live.. That's twice now that Backlash has been the bee knee's in this area.. the other being 2003 with Goldberg and The Rock.. but overall this was a much better show..
You guys hear the na-na-na-chant for Triple H as he was stretchered out?? Hahaha.. I couldn't stop laughing, how'd it come across?
Anyway.. the only match I can really say I didn't care much for was the Hardys brawl.. I'm happy their feud is wrapped up now.
The 6-man was great..lots of heat I thought and the ending was beautiful. Cena/Edge was cool, I like Big Show getting the push.

Wow really? I thought that was hands down one of the best matches this year. Sometimes I think when you dislike a guy, you say their matches are bad just because they are in it. A good example is Edge. I don't get why you hate him so much, seems just as good as he has ever been to me. That was easily one of the best last man standing matches I've seen and proof once again of how great Cena is. Also the finish was good just because it was so original and unexpected, which is hard to do in wrestling these days.
I kind of agree about the blood point, but this worked.
