lol quoting it makes it look like I said it. Its from wwe.com. I take it you mean that was a submission match and not I Quit? Or maybe you are referring to it being famous before then?
Anyway, I am very excited about this match. I really enjoyed their Mania match although it was painfully obvious that it didn't get enough time. Apparently WWE would rather waste a load of time on pointless shit like Kid Rock than give one of the most hyped matches on the card a few much-needed extra minutes.
Anyway, as said, with time this could be great. Not sure about MOTN, it will be between this and the Edge/Cena match I imagine, but this match has me more interested. Good to see the feud is continuing and surely Jeff will go over this time.

Matt wants Jeff GONE from the WWE. Matt wants Jeff to QUIT from the WWE, not necessarily kill. That is why he has done burned his house down... that's why he did the hit and run.. that's why he did the attack from his hotel stairway.. that's why he's saying he's no longer his brother... that's why he's repeatedly said without him, Jeff will fall back to his drugs and be seen as a failure. He is trying to get in Jeff's fucked up mind of his to get him to his boiling point and get him to quit the WWE.
That's why I Quit is perfect, because that's been the whole point of the feud To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. Yes because I know when you try to run someone over its because you want them to go to their boss and say " I quit." You attack them from behind, kill their dog, burn down their house, try to burn them with fireworks all for those two words. Meanwhile, the simple approach for that would be to place drug on Jeff. Speaking in kayface terms here.
* Running someone over. That means he has to put his life on the line to kill him. Of course, Matt isn't going to do that. It was meant to be a hit and run to mess up Jeff's mind... to quit.
* Putting Jeff's house on fire and killing his dog. It was shown that the dog meant the world to Jeff. Now, if it was seen as Matt wanting to kill Jeff, wouldn't you think Matt would've attempted if Jeff was in the house? No. Matt knew Jeff was at the tattoo parlor getting a tattoo. His house being on fire and his dog dying was meant as a mesage to get him to... quit.
He's doing this series of events hoping that without Matt, that without him being as the support he has been for Jeff for all these years, all the possessions being lost, his dog dying... that Jeff would quit, which Matt has said is HIS point. He wants Jeff to quit because of him, he isn't going to get the satisfication from framing him (which is so god damn stupid btw). His blogs have said that like 5 times that Matt wants Jeff gone from the WWE - which is called quitting ... I could get them if necessary if you still fail to grasp the point To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. .

Yes, I have a GIF of two women kissing.
Yes, it's hot. Yes it's Megan Fox kissing another woman from Jennifer's Body. Yes, it's hot... owait, I already said that. Yes, I'm aware this makes me sound like a total lesbian. But this scene? UNF.

He doesn't want Jeff to quit or leave the company. He just wants to be acknowledged as the better Hardy. After he beat him at WM, the following Smackdown he comes out and simply asks for Jeff to apologize. If Jeff didn't, he would leave on a stretcher. That doesn't sound like he wants him to quit. He just wants to beat some more sense into him. An I Quit match was the wrong way to go here.

Jeff WILL make Matt say I QUIT and DRIVE MATT OUT OF THE WWE and into early retirement! Jeff is THE SUPERIOR Hardy and should and WILL be the LONE HARDY of WRESTLING!

I dont fail to grasp anything, I understand what you are saying, Im just telling you, I disagree. The hit an run on Austin was to get him to quit, it was to end his career. Never has there been anything as drastic as what Matt has done to simply get someone to quit, it has been done to end careers. There is such a thing as prescident. Meaning, by looking at similar angles from the past, one can calculate that such actions are meant for a much more drastic outcome than someone saying, " I quit."

It's a fued-ending stipulation to end a fued. Seems pretty okay to me. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Re: WWE Backlash - Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy - I Quit Match
What I don't get is, is that Matt is 2-0. If Matt wins he has a hell of a lot of credibility moving on to different opponents. Where does that leave Jeff? Right back to square one losing matches in the last 4 PPVs. If Jeff wins, it gives him that momentum again but then puts Matt right back at square one.
It's a tough match to call, with terrible booking.
