Re: WWE No Way Out 2009: Preview and Live Discussion
I honestly hate these matches. They are confined to a certain area where there are no weapons but the chamber. Yet somehow I am supposed to believe that steel chain and plexiglass is more dangerous than anything that can be found under and surrounding the ring. To add to this failure, in my opinion, they are doing two matches which is a complete overkill. Why is it that every major gimmick match has to be applied to the top two brands! Its just lazy booking from where I stand.

Yay, time for the most useless PPV of the year. A PPV so special that it ends up being forgettable after a month and has so little great matches in it's history. I can't wait.

Which is the best No Way Out ever? 2001 had one amazing match and one very good match, so I'm going to assume its that?
And neXus, you're right. Two Chambers in one night is overkill in the extreme, and I have always thought the same about the Elimination Chamber as a concept. It really isn't that brutal due to the lack of weapons, and is really a very restrictive stipulation which doesn't allow for many unique spots. The first couple were cool due to the novelty value but now it just seems to have run its course. They need a new stipulation.

These matches always bored me to tears. I never found them interesting, and always had a hard time following them. If they are going to focus on gimmick matches, why not just do a few different ones. It's not that complicated.

Damn, If this wasn't a free ppv I wouldn't even bother to stream it. These matches are horrible, hopefully something decent happens in them.
But TWO of these matches is just too much!

And when there is no hope,
"I'll smoke some crack, I'll shoot some dope!"
When theres no enemies,
"I sit and stare at my T.V.
and in my ignorance,
I'll be a slave and sycophant!"

Instead of doing the same old shit over and over, I'd love for the WWE to tweak it just a little bit with a tag team Elimination Chamber match. Same rules, except that you have a full tag team in each pod and you start with two teams. I've been waiting since the first one for their to be a tag team edition. 2000 was also pretty stong, mainly because of the HIAC match between Trips and Foley, The Rock got a solid match out of The Big Show, the ppv debut of The Radicals, X-pac and Kane in an ok No Holds Barred match and the only PPV match between Jericho and Angle.
