Seriously, I am a swagger supporter but I just believe that he shouldn't be pushed to the top so quickly, imo, I think he will be drafted to raw or smackdown and then WWE will push him, he wins the world title on the respective brand, then leaves the E ie Lesnar, Lashley

Basically he said that the ECW championship was too much of a push for Swagger right now, which is pretty lularific. No matter what Swagger does, on ECW he is going to have to work his way up on any other brand he goes to. The ECW belt just lets officials see how well he handels himself being the face of a brand and in the main event scene.
I've come to the conclusion that before holding the ECW Title anyone being considered for that spot should run with the IC/US Title first. It's less pressure cos you're not carrying the brand, and it makes the ECW Title look like a step up from those belts, which is what it should be in theory.
However, with the IC/US title you are getting more exposure than on ECW, just from the simple fact that both Raw and Smackdown are the main shows while ECW is some sort of one hour show with half assed booking and storylines. I'd say its better to have the ECW title before you get thrust into the spotlight with legit storylines.
I don't get why when a new guy wins a big belt, it automatically discredites the belt. Swagger is undefeated and has beaten every top face on ECW. I'm a big Swagger supporter, and I have a feeling he will be a pretty big star. Hopefully he stays clear of suspensions and he makes the best out of his opportunities.

Well to be fair, I dont see how Swagger winning the title is treating it like crap. To put the ECW title into perspective, its a step ahead of the IC and Use title, but 5 steps behind the WWE and World Title. The reason its part of the three way championship match isnt because of value of the title. The reason is that, much like the WWE and World champion, the ECW champion is supposed to be the face of their brand. The company has three brands, thus it should have three champions who are supposed to be the face of the company.
Back on point with swagger. He is a man who had an undefeated streak when he won the belt, and dominated everyone he wrestled, except Hardy. The only reason ( if the threads was moved to WC) I was against Swagger win the belt is because there is nowhere for him to go storyline wise. I wanted Burchill because Katie Lea could help progress in brand feuds with her constant involvement in matches. She could also lay claim to being " The New Queen Of Extreme" based on her involvement on the brand. Not to mention the ECW championship could possibly gain some credibility for actually getting a few stroylines that arent tournament based. Now I highly doubt Swagger will do much with the belt, it will probably be a tool used to make him look better while he randomly wrestles on the other two brands. Even if they did give him an actual storyline, it looks like it would be against Tommy Dreamer who he dominated on numerous occasions.
