Well, Melina has been out injured for awhile, and although I’m not sure how much longer she is out for, she can’t be too far off returning. So when she returns, what do you actually see her doing?
Considering she hasn’t been face for really long (she turned on Beth, then got injured like a month afterwards), she will have to return as a face, and stay a face for quite awhile. Plus, her return would get quite the pop, so a face she is to be. The only person I can see her feuding with is Beth (again). She can come in, and say this whole charade with Santino is ridiculous, blah blah blah. Then say she is coming to save the Women’s Title from being disgraced any further. A pretty basic feud I guess, but I have absolutely nothing else that I can think of for her, with the lack of heel divas who don’t actually suck. Maybe she can squash Jillian a few times too >_>

She will definitely be a face and she will defeat Beth for the title. I think she should lose her first title match and win the 2nd time to make it more of a big deal. She is over and her return will be pretty big because of how long she has been out. Her and Beth had a good short feud before she got injured so it makes perfect sense and practically writes itself. It doesn't need anything special, just a comeback story with Melina getting revenge for One Night Stand and becoming the champ once again.
I would have Mickie and Melina team up again but Mickie turn on Melina because she gets jealous and thinks Melina has taken her spot.

That never even crossed my mind. That would be a pretty epic feud for the women's division headed into Mania. Although I like Melina much better, the storyline is pretty damn logical. Let the Playboy model have a go at the Diva's Title or something.

Yeah they could have the classic angle of Mickie celebrating with her but looking slightly pissed off, and eventually just cheap shotting her. Would work well. Could make Mickie kinda psycho again but obsessed with the title rather than a person.

I think it's pretty much a certainty that the women's division on RAW needs a heel turn.
The most logical choice is Mickie getting pissed at the "bimbos who can't wrestle a match without getting injured" waltzing back in and stealing her spotlight.
Either that or perhaps Candice Michelle getting upset about the returning Melina stealing her thunder.
I think it's pretty much a certainty that the women's division on RAW needs a heel turn.

But it is not like they don't have heels, there is Beth and Katie. I want Katie to get pushed at some point. That is the problem with my idea.

When she got injured... the return was either December 2008 or January 2009 (as the start of the year would be the five month range from what they've said). It just all depends on how good/fast her ankle is healing.
With that said, there is no other logical choice but return to feud with Beth. Get the title... and if Mickie isn't a heel then for whatever reason, use Melina as the diva that Mickie turns onto because that'd get a reaction of what she got before the injury were any indication of how over she could be. When she returns, I honestly believe she'll be basically WWE's top face diva and get the best reaction for one.

She will get a good pop and will be pretty over. Hell, I didn't care about her much before, and I am not the biggest fan of womens wrestling, yet I am still looking forward to her return.
Mickie could do with a change anyway. I just don't want Katie to get pushed down the pecking order and released or something. =/
