After Hardy won the fatal four way match, Kozlov made his way to the ring and absolutely destroyed Hardy. Kozlov has said that he wants tougher oppenents, and this is really like his first time ever confronting any big named talents. Obviously, something big has to be planned for him, because he ended the show by beating down the number 1 contender.

I disagree. They've built him up way to much to just get into a feud and get his "ass kicked". I don't really think him and Jeff will feud, it was just a way for him to make a point.
They're not, but it's obvious they'll have a match before No Mercy. And Jeff isn't really going to lose heading into it, so he's winning against him. Hence me saying his ass will get kicked by him.

He's sort of a random character. He just doesn't have the feel to him like Umaga or Snitsky did when they were at their prime. Too soon. He should go to ECW when Hardy is further advanced from the ECW Title.
He's being built like Umaga without the manager. Hardy will get a match vs. him next week, and following No Mercy Koslov will be thrown in a triple threat
