I was going to make this into a moderation blog, but I decided it would be better as a thread topic. Of course we all know where Triple H is, but the question is, did it make sense moving Triple H to Smackdown right now? As of right now Triple H is entering his second championship defense with very little interaction between himself and his opponent.Smackdown is being forced to rely on the Edge and Vickie storyline to draw ratings right now. Meanwhile, CM Punk could have very well cashed in his MITB on Smackdown and his current championship run could have been placed on Smackdown. Raw, by far, has enough talent to draw ratings without the forcus being on the WWE or World Championship. When the Triple H baby saga, as I'll call it, is over we can see something that we havent seen in what I'm guessing is four years, a trade! CM Punk and some lower card wrestlers for Triple H. To me Triple H just isnt helping Smackdown draw right now as he is rarely on the brand and when he is, its not in the ring. Thoughts on this subject?
I just feel as if everything was poorly timed. Holding a draft just a few weeks before a PPV makes it very hard to properly build up a PPV, especially if you trade your World Champions. To make matters worse, they instantly booked him against a guy that he has a very limited past with. Picking someone like Umaga would of been an easy way to build up their GAB match since they've had somewhat recent past feud. They could of just relied on their 2007 feud to get their 2008 feud over. Meanwhile, it was also bad timing booking him against Edge who was in the midst of a major storyline with Vickie. So with a lack of time, past and a storyline already taking up Edge's time, it was bound to be a letdown.
Khali is a similar deal in that they only have a few weeks to make this feud feel like a big deal. While they've had a couple matches before, they've never had a proper feud. So once again, they couldn't rely on their past. Khali has the opposite problem from Edge. He's been doing nothing for the past few months. So you have a champion feuding for the first time against a giant who hasn't been built up. With the birth of his second daughter, SD may not even have Triple H this week. This feud really needs to be pumped into overdrive ASAP if it's even going to come close to seeming like a big deal.
So while Hunter has been a disappointment since coming to SD, I wouldn't say to pull the plug yet. With PPVs roughly every 3 weeks, you just can't create a brand new feud for every PPV. But looking at the roster, there's only Jeff Hardy and Umaga that Hunter could have a feud with without it feeling overly rushed. Give it some time and I think SD will be looking better.

Honestly, it's simpler than 'yall are making out.. the man had a VERY pregnant wife when the draft went down, she just had a kid. And being in the position he's in being management (more or less) he can take off as much time as he wants. When my wife and I have a kid, I'll take shit balls worth of time off to be with her seeing as I own my own business. Honestly, now that their kid is born and Stephanie is all well and good, I'd put hard money on Trips being way more visible on Smackdown in the coming months and his feud with Edge being kicked into high gear.
Shit, a three way feud between Taker, Trips and Edge could be epic.

I think a lot of people have seen enough of Edge/Taker, and Hell in a Cell is a definitive end to a feud. It wouldn't make sense if they carried on feuding with someone else thrown into the mix after a match like Hell in a Cell.

I disagree. It's a good way to end the feud for now, but just like Batista/UT matches after HIAC it was still a solid match. Not a PPV seller, but with a new guy thrown in I think it could be interesting because you have their past history along with the new angles being played out.

He was still at SmackDown! every week, he just wasn't wrestling. So Steph being pregnant can't have too much to do with it.
Oh and I don't want to see that three way feud. Edge vs Taker has gone on way too long. A third person won't change my opinion.

Personally, I like the less use of HHH. Even though it hasn't happened recently, his coming to the ring and cutting a 10 minute promo followed by being in the main event every night got very tiring. He is a big draw and maybe should be used a bit more, but at least it's not his older generic role.

Smackdown needs the old generic Triple H. Its pretty sad when the progression of your championship feud is Khali squash matches. I enjoyed the way Triple H was used with Edge as he didnt come in and make the save as usual, but this is the second straight ppv and the second straight Championship defense where Triple H has gone MIA. Its even more obvious as, unlike Edge, Khali doesnt have any mic skills or any side angles as a distraction.
