Shelton Benjamin definetly shocked me when he defeated Matt Hardy and became the U.S Champion. I guess the move to Smackdown was the best thing for him. I didn't expect him to get pushed so quickly, but I am loving this. Hopefully Shelton can have a descent run and get back on track.
Thoughts on your newest U.S Champion?

I think it's great. I like Matt Hardy too but Shelton as U.S. Champ is awesome as well. I'm glad they're giving him a push although it probably won't last long like all the past times he was pushed which is sad considering how much talent he has, not mic skills but ya know. I think it's a good thing for Smackdown.

I'm really lunkwarm on Shelton.. dude is really talented, but sloppy as hell. Dude has two left feet sometimes, and he's seemingly unpushable. How many chances is this guy going to get to become a main eventer? Sixteenth times a charm I guess..

Me = going to WrestleMania 25, The HOF and ROH's next PPV, what what? Two national pay per view events in one weekend, not bad..
What with him being involved in the beatdown on Big Show and him winning the belt clean, it seems as if the 'E are pretty high on Benjamin. Deservedly so, he's shown alot more intensity as of late and Smackdown's mid-card ranks are stacked. Hopefully the guy has a good run with it.

I'm glad Shelton is seemingly getting a push and I'm happy that the US Title is on Smackdown once again. However, I'm not a fan of Shelton as a heel, I find him characterwise to be boring. The blonde hair makes him look like a fruitbooty and over all I just dont care about him right now. I hope he turns face soon and feuds with someone like Carlito.
Well I knew adventaully he'd get the push, but I didn't know so soon. Great to see a new face with the title, and i'm stoked to see with Benjamin will do.
My first though is wow at all the news sites who claimed Shelton would be left out on Smackdown! Secondly, the next thing to come to mind is the fact that the WWE is def. trying to prove they're not racist here. Finally, I'm glad Shelton won gold, but it's kinda disappointing seeing as how Matt was supposed to have a really long reign.
