I may lag a little behind from time to time but I will do my best to keep up to speed. Also, please add any comments you want along the way, but quote any particular thing I may mention as it would get confusing without quotes. Thanks guys. Remember this will be done as I am watching it, not review but somewhat live thoughts. Match 1. Carlito/Masters vs. © Kane/Big Show - Tag Team Titles I just noticed that they have a pretty cool banner thing going on around the top of the United Center (is it still called that?) I would also like to mention that Chicago is also hosting the first baseball game of the season tonight. Chi-Town is bumping. So far its been all Big Show. Not a good sign for the current champs. Carlito is cheating his way with chokes and what not to get a slight advantage over Show. Now Kane in due to reverse bodyslam by Big Show. Kane is on fire right now. No pun intended. Kane goes for his little flying clothesline thing off the top but Masters reverses it into a Masterlock. Big Show breaks the lock with a big boot to the face. Now lots of back and forth until Kane goes for a chokeslam. Masters tries to break it up but crashes into Carlito instead. Masters gets dumped to the outside, Carlito takes a sick chokeslam from Kane and 1.....2....3. Kane and Show are still champs. Essentially a squash match. Postmatch Masters and Carlito bicker but end up just leaving the ring. I smell a Masters face turn. Coach interviews HBK backstage and asks him if he regrets tangling it up with Vince. He says he tends to steal the show with top notch matches, but tonight you will not see a 5 star match, you will see something real dirty. HBK says you aint getting HBK tonight, you will be enduring your own personal hell. You best be praying Vince. MITB Match !!!!!!! Sweetness. Matt Hardy out first, Shelton, Finlay, RVD, Lashley, Ric Flair in order. This is going to be a mess to call, bear with me. Hardy brings the ladder to the ring but is hit before he gets to the ring with a corkscrew from RVD. Nice move. Benjamin clearing the ring with the ladder and has only Finlay left in the ring. Shelton sets up the ladder over Finlay, runs up the ladder and flips onto Hardy Finlay and Lashley down below. One of the coolest moves I have seen to date. That could have gone so wrong on so many levels. Flair takes a big bump off the top of the ladder, Suplex by Hardy. Flair freaks out and they call for medical with from X symbol they make. Looks fake to me, but what can you say. My guess is he comes back at the end to win the match. My DVR fucked up and I lost the rest of this match. I will have to watch it on replay. I see that RVD won though, I was very suprised. Benoit vs. JBL. I just find it funny that both these guys have had long runs as WWE champions and are now battling over the US title. Are they trying to make the US Title more important or do they really have nothing to give these guys? Lots of back and forth action and JBL cheats with the ropes to gain the win and new title. Whoopie. Mick Foley vs. Edge. Mick starts off with lots off offense. A little suprising almost. More later. Nobody is reading and I feel like chillin. | |
