So it looks like Regal is just putting an end to a certain match every week. They have the right idea with the storyline as I think its good how they are making him get major heat by ending the matches and him saying the fans dont "deserve" to see the match and such but I really think they should do it a different way or with a match that ppl dont care about. So in my opinion, its the right idea, but the wrong way to do it. What do you guys think?

Honestly, where the fuck is this going? This is the most exciting angle the wwe have had in a long while, I am of course refering to the lights out that occured on last night's and last week's Raws. If I didn't have faith in the wwe I would say they are building to some sort of failure gimmick lights out match, bit as of late they've been pretty solid, that and the whole Adalme angle are really making me wonder what will happen next. I honestly cannot rememer a time when the wwe was this unpredictable (in a good way).
So bright sparks, anyoner have a clue what the funk is going on?

I merged these because they deal with the same thing.
I agree that it is a very interesting angle. In response to The Fallen Angel, I would say that the angle would only work if it was big matches that Regal turned the lights out on, because that way it gives him epic heel heat. It wouldn't have the same effect if he turned the lights out on some jobber match lol. In the big title match at the end of Raw last week, it got people talking about what the hell was going on.
The whole Regal angle, starting with him winning KOTR, is very interesting. It is great that WWE seem to be thinking outside the box in producing angles such as this, the Adamle one, Jericho/HBK/Batista etc. Other things such as Taker being stripped, Kennedy seemingly turning face and Mickie winning the title have made Raw unpredictable and enjoyable in recent weeks.
As for this angle, I really have no idea how it is going to end. Regal is demanding respect as General Manager, and he is showing why people must respect him, because he has such power. However, I can't really see where this is going, other than possibly putting Kennedy over as a face.
Interesting stuff though.

I agree this is one damn interesting angle. Although I think they are already overusing the lights out thing, I love the idea and I love Regal demanding respect. Maybe Regal v Kennedy will be added to Judgment Day? I hope so.
Either way, this should be good. I don't see it leading to anything stupid, so that's a big plus.

Oh PY, my man, you have no idea how hard I would mark for that.
What WWE could've and maybe should've done is had Punk kind of do the Kennedy route. As much as I love Kennedy as a faceish so far, Punk would've made more sense considering Regal "screwed" him in the KOTR.

Some of my friends went to Raw last night and they were pretty pissed. Front row tickets cost close to 300 bucks a piece and the match with the most potential go cut. Really I think the fans got ripped off. Take out the Orton/ Punk match and they got two squash matches, a divas match, a short tag match, Carlito's Cabana, and a main event featuring ECW out of the blue.
I love the fact that both weeks it's been Orton getting his matches cut off. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
This is a fun angle, but an angle that I see eventually failing. I love Regal, but the man just isn't a main event caliber wrestler. Spending all this time trying to build him up is going to continue to have ratings slip.

Is it even certain that the main aim of this is to make him a main event wrestler? If anything, it is just to get Kennedy over.

I wouldnt say that he isn't a "main event caliber" wrestler. I could see him having a World Title run(Smackdown) much like JBL did. Notice how Paul Burchell and Katie Lee suddenly reappear around the same time that Regal wins the KOTR. I wouldn't say its too far fetched.
