Looking back at the build up between HBK and Batista, can you really see this match being a one night only attraction? After all HBK has been showing up on Smackdown and aweful lot over the past two months, I'm thinking, much like with Punk, Finlay and Hornswoogle, WWE is teasing a future draft move sending HBK to Smackdown.
I could agree. Moving him there would diminish his value overall which is risky after seeing what happened to Flair when he was moved to SD!, but netherless I think the move will happen. Hopefully this can be turned into a long time feud like HHH and HBK used to have.
What else could HBK do on SD!. I could see him feuding with Edge and maybe Show or MVP, but thats it. A feud with Henry/Viscera feels like nothing, but a filler match. I also can't imagine HBK demeaning himself to working on ECW. He could do well with Morrison as well. It would probably be the end of DX for a while too.

Flair was much older then HBK is when he was moved. Flair honestly didn't have a good match until that Mania if you ask me.
Moving him to Smackdown! would probably guarantee him a title reign.. A reign, I doubt he wants. I see a lot more interbrand stuff going on though, with HBK as always being the top Raw guy, probably Batista being the top Smackdown! dude.
Now, to the actual topic, I honestly think this feud will last to Survivor Series is some way shape or form, similar to Taker and Batista, with the possibility of Jericho vs. one of them, if not both down the line.

Before going to Smackdown, Flair was stuck in a midcard team/feud with Carlito that couldn't even get him on PPV half the time. However, once going to Smackdown, he started wrestling their top midcard heel (MVP) and teaming with their top face (Batista) against the tag team champions (Deuce and Domino). For the first time in over a year, Flair was a major part of a brand. But all of that was messed up when Flair took time off.
I can't see Michaels ever working on Smackdown full time. I see this feud between him and Batista as an off again on again interbrand feud. I'm expecting a Michaels/Batista II at Summerslam or so.

Pretty much my thoughts. Just because the feud looks set to continue past Backlash, does not mean that anyone will be drafted. At the moment there are a lot of people wrestling on each other's brands, so I don't see how interpromotional feuds are a problem. The only bad thing about it is that it makes interpromotional feuds at the big PPVs, most notably Wrestlemania, less of a big deal.
The great thing about the feud is that Jericho isn't taking sides, he is being a dick to both guys. Telling Shawn he did it cause of his ego, telling Batista he would have done the same, and then in the exclusive video on wwe.com, saying he just wants to see both guys beat the hell out of each other. That is classic tweener behaviour and really makes the feud interesting, especially considering there is no obvious face or heel in the feud itself when you look at the behaviour of HBK and Batista.
Jericho could feud with either guy when it is over.

Which is a problem in my opinion. We just got done with an IC champion who rarely defended it and it looks like the current IC champion won't really be defending it either. I can't see Michaels or Batista challenging Jericho for the IC title. So I'm already questioning the WWE's decision to put the strap on Jericho.
To be honest it feels so random putting him in this match. It would be kind of understandable if there was no legit challengers for the title, but Mr Kennedy is absent from the card T.T
But HBK going on Smackdown could be incredible. Continuing this feud, feuding with Edge properly, feuding with MVP, maybe another feud with the Undertaker, etc. The sky would be the limit and I know I would love it. However I think it is more likely Batista will be going to Raw in the draft.
