TNA Impact Review

I just downloaded Impact (tx again Dan) and I decided to write my thoughts about the show on here.

The opening theme and video was good, but it looked more like a Velocity or the old WCW Saturday Night, than a premier show of a company like RAW or SmackDown!

The opening match is a World Tag Team Title match. I forgot how exciting tag teams could be. The Naturals are amazing and remind me of the Hardy Boyz for whatever reason. AMW are my faves tho, but unlike the Naturals they dont really look like a TNA team for whatever reason. I think they would really get over in WWE. Too bad WWE has no interest in tag teams. The match was short, but entertaining. I hated it when Team Canada interfered and the ref somehow got too distracted from Gail Kim to even notice... I guess wrestling wil never change. Anyway, AMW retain after the Death Sentence (Demolition's old finisher, except Cowboy uses the leg drop instead of the elbow drop).

They ran a video promoting the "Ultimate X" match. I am dying to see this match now. I love how they make these matches and their Titles look really important.

Alex Shelley faced Sonjay Dutt and Chirs Sabin in a triple threat match for the rights to be in the X World Cup. These guys went all out and Sonjay Dtt is amazing. He is one fo the fastest guys I have ever seen. I would love to see him face Rey Mysterio Jr. After a bunch of finishers, Chris Sabin took the win.

They ran another video and this time it was about The Stinger. TNA might look like a small time promotion at times, but you could never tell from these video packages. They know what they are doing. Sting as good as he was and as much as I liked him, doesnt really interest me anymore. His gimmick is old and doesnt fit him anymore. He even cut his hair. I wish he would go back to the blonde hair Stinger with the charismatic screams and shit.

If you put Jeff Jarrett and HHH next to each other, I doubt you could tell 'em apart. King of the Mountain????? King of Kings????? Are these guys for real????? If it wasnt for daddy Jarrett and wifey Steph, these guys would be on the street begging for spare change...ok maybe not

I heard people bash their broadcast team, but I loved Mike Tenay and Don West. Mike Tenay is just awesome and Don West, even tho he is not that funny, is ok to listen to...ok, ok Don can be kinda annoying too at times, but Mike Tenay makes up for it.

They had Christian and Monty Brown via satellite. These was the last TV show before the ppv and the champ and challenger are sitting at home...are they for real????? I just had a deja vu

The Main Event features an eight man tag team match. The Prince of Punk & Maverick Matt (I believe he used to be Michael Shane before) and The Diamonds in the Rough (Skipper and Young). Shouldn't Skipper be one of those guys leading the X Division? They were to supossed to face Rhyno, Team 3D and The Truth, but the video's got a virus or something and it cut off. No main event for me I guess. Sorry guys!!!
