If it's anything like last years Backlash, it can top Wrestlemania.. It'll be tougher this year though. I'm preying for a gimmick match overkill.

Edge v Taker in a gimmick match would be good.

Maybe just a rematch of Cena v Orton v Triple H, seeing as it is no DQ anyway. I expect a new WWE Champion to be honest.

Meh, I don't know about that. There's too much of feuds dragging on and on to be honest. Edge vs. Taker in a gimmick match yes, but another Triple Threat, nah. If they're gonna have a three way feud, they need to do it properly. And if they do have another Triple Threat, the title won't change hands. Never does at Backlash.

Kane will more than likely face Henry. They just kill the credibility of the ECW title every time it changes hands. Nothing against Kane, but when you have Punk beat Chavo repeatedly, then Chavo wins it by cheating, beats Punk clean (or relatively), then gets squashed at Wrestle freakin' Mania by Kane in what, 12 seconds...it kills it.

They'll be a rematch from Mania on the Raw and Smackdown side. Edge will use his rematch clause, and HHH/Cena will think they deserve another shot. They may even add HBK to the raw main event since he has nothing to do.

John Cena vs. Triple H (Number One Contendership)

What I'm Liking:

Edge/Taker: They ended their WM24 match on a great note, and I'm pumped for a grudge match with no stips to see what they can do again.

IC Title Situation: What will Jericho be involved in? Jericho/Punk IC Title if Punk is drafted? Tons of possiblities.

The MVP: MVP/Hardy is almost a year in the making, and I really wanna see a title change. either way, hopefully this feud will continue.

Batista/HBK: That storyline is so innovative, and has a numerous amounts of sub plots to be added. Something fresh in the WWE, and finally a match outside of mania with true passion and emotion and believable background involved. HBK will slug it out and put on a show. I expect The Animal to rebound and work hard.

What I'm Sorta Liking:

WWE Title: I mean, it's not as great as last years four way, but good transitional match into HHH/Orton which I really wanted at Backlash originally. Should be good.

Beth Phoenix: Her match with Maria was decent, showing hope for the women. Beth vs. Candice or Mickie or Maria at Backlash please and I'm happy. Fire Melina, Jillian, and Ashley.

Big Show/Khali: The match is questionable. Big Show's character will make this work.

What I'm Not Liking:

ECW Title: I love Kane, and Chavo is meh, but they just don't seem to mesh. If it's kept short, then I like it. Why not have Kane win the rematch on ECW, move Chavo to SD, feud Kane with Burke?

Umaga matchless: The guy is on a roll, but has nothing. He could have an IC Title match w/Jericho, but that's too late. He'll be on SD by now, and he deserves a feud with a SD wrestler.

"Competitive" Tag Division? JR said the tag team division is heating up, whereas as I gave up. The tag team matches on Raw today were merciful, and the portion of the fault goes to the head office who couldn't give a damn, but why waste air tiem if the teams won't even matter. I see a 4 way tag or 5 tag turmoil that'll suck at Backlash.

For once, the WWE has a match that is controlled by the storyline. Not comparing it to Flair b/c that's a given, but a good mid-major match for Backlash. This show always prevails, so I can only hope this show works.
